Leftism

Gakpo/Diaz/Jota/Nunez/Salah - are we really going to sell 4 of those 5 ? Not a chance IMO. 2 at most (Nunez and maybe, MAYBE, one more).

Diaz ONLY if we get an offer that can't be dismissed - which means Saudi not Barca.
I think we keep Jota and obviously Salah and Gakpo.
Jota only goes if there's a "too good to be true" bid. I don't see us buying two strikers this season.

Nico Williams to Barca, so that option is gone for Diaz. The more I think about this the more I feel he should stay for one more year. That would be the best for the team, no doubt.

Poor the Diaz, feels like he's been hanging around on his 70K a week for yrs waiting for that one.
Hope he will now just settle and not let it affect him.
No chance Barca come back for him with Nico in the bag.

Jota’s a rapidly decreasing asset..I think a decent bid and he’s gone.

What do you consider to be a ‘too good to be true’ bid for a player with what looks like a career declining injury and poor injury record?

Do u see us buying two strikers when we're having trouble getting one?

Yes, because I don’t think we’re having trouble getting a 9…we haven’t got the Wirtz and Kerkez deals over the line yet so it’s unlikely we’d be initiating a striker deal yet, especially with some outgoings to focus on too!

The main concern with Jota is the rib/lung injuries he sustained when fallen on by ork centre backs v Brentford and Chelsea that sidelined him for long spells last season and the season before.

The medics were v careful with him and there were reports about the potential career ending nature of this type of injury and he definitely played like it was on his mind. If he is fully over the injury in mind and body he is still our best finisher and a great squad member

Whatever the Saudis are offering I can't see Konate wanting going there (esp. in a WC year). If he really wanted big money then he'd have been kicking up a storm long before now.

It’ll likely see a move for Gordon imo…
I think so too, especially if we're unable to get Isak and Newcastle need to sell. The only name in this position floating around this summer seems to be the Lyon kid though

Im like that with Gordon to be honest. Not worth the quoted fee.
I get that. The only thing I'd hope with Gordon is that because he's a red, he'd run through walls for us.

Neither are particularly great

Diaz for 85mil see ya.
Get Guehi and ask Psg if they want Konate (esp.if he doesn't sign a new contract) they gotta give on Barcola.

See off Quansah and get hato or similar.

i feel like it’s almost an established saudi negotiation tactic to generate links to players mentioning fees they don’t intend to pay more than a fraction of

How reliable is Liverpool Echo? That might explain why no there is no new contract being offered. Naturally he should be asking for a ballpark of 200k at least.

Now the Liverpool Echo have reported that Diaz is actually earning around per week £140,000 with Liverpool, while not on par with the highest earners at the club, still puts him well within the Andy Robertson/Ryan Gravenberch bracket:

“With two years left on his current deal, the Premier League champions are relaxed about Diaz’s situation, although the 28-year-old is keen to discuss an improvement on his current terms,” wrote Paul Gorst.

“Online suggestions over Diaz’s wage packet were robustly dismissed by Anfield insiders last year and it’s understood the attacker earns around £140,000 at Anfield.”
