Ok, this is more a stream of consciousness than a well thought out & considered post, but fuck it, the latter would be lost on a lot of you anyway!
Apparently, when asked, someone at the club has said that the work done in Dubai wasn't for now, it's for the games in two months time.
That, plus the way we've been playing since, & the injuries, suggest to me that Klopp has done another mini pre season loading training.
If so, it would explain a lot, &, if it works as intended, could be the difference come April.
Alterrnatively, the points we've lost over the last few games could equally cost us.
Nobody knows yet, so fuck it.
We've drawn five games this season, lost only one & won NINETEEN of twenty five played.
That is a fucking phenomenonal record, it's seriously impressive!
Yes, its fucking frustrating that we've lost momentum, that citeh will go top after the bitters inevitably roll over, but no, it does not mean we have lost the league.
When they win on Wed citeh will be top on goal difference, we will have the same amount of points, in second, with a game in hand to play.
This is the worst we've played all season, yet we're drawing games. When citeh have been at their worst they've been losing them, yet apparently all of a sudden we're the ones suffering a crisis. Bollocks.
We're missing so many players in vital positions & at least six of the usual first eleven badly out of form at the same time too, that to carry on winning like a machine as we were previously would be an actual miracle.
The fact that we're still picking up any points at all with all that is quite remarkable.
Yes, of course there could be questions asked of Klopp, why he let Clyne go, or whether that training in Dubai was too much at this stage of the season & has contributed to injuries, but let's face it, until this season has played out none of us will know the answers to if they were major mistakes & if they will truly cost us.
If we turn this on its head, & put the draws in our first five games, & leave all other results the same, then we'd all be fucking convinced that we'd be winning the league & the tide of emotion would be overwhelming, which is a huge part of the problem here.
Just like in 2014, our fans are being carried by emotion, whether positive or negative, letting it cloud their judgement, & it's fucking ridiculous, take a step back, get a fucking grip of yourself, get behind these lads & enjoy the fucking ride, as we seriously challenge for the league over a full season for the first time this century.
