Another thread! Great.....

[/quote]

Its 'new' news stating no 9 points deduction, and its from the Liverpool Echo and done by Traynor, who is 'in the know' concerning Liverpool and Liverpool FC, so VERY reliable

There are some very informed posters over on YNWA that says RBS have a buyer lined up.

Could there acutally be an ending to all this??!!

Any info mate?

It isn't really news at all TBH. The deduction applies only if a club goes into administration and - despite far too many people assuming otherwise - the bank does NOT have to put LFC into administration to take over, nor was it ever likely to.

RBS definitely wouldn't risk a 9 point deduction. At this point we really would look like relegation candidates.

It's three quite respectable posters over there that says RBS already have a buyer lined up, and have had so for a while. One of them seem to have a lot of connections. I'll have look there when I get home mate, and post if they have given an update or more information. At the moment I'm clinging on to every little positive snippet I can find..

Re: Club Refinance Thread

I think people are being a little presumptuous. hick's will be going all out to raise money and I wouldn't put it past him to succeed, such is the patented liverpool luck.

Re: Club Refinance Thread

There's no "presumptuous" about it. Hicks already has been "going all out to raise money" and has failed at every turn. Nothing's impossible till this thing is finally decided, but the odds are heavily against him now, and reminding ourselves of that is a useful corrective to the Private Fraser stuff we get from you.

you should use the 'cassandra' analogy, predicting doom that no one believes and then telling everyone 'told ya' when it actually happens.

I'm leaving that for you, neil. Don't hold your breath waiting. 😉

Re: Club Refinance Thread

If RBS do have a buyer in the pipeline to the bringing forward of the re-payment of the loan makes a bit more sense. Although it doesn't seem likely they'd be able to do that? Surely they have a contract which would set out terms, such as repayment dates beforehand?

Re: Club Refinance Thread

We can't know without access to any contract documents. For example we don't know if the current extension of time for repayment was formally included in a contract at all, or (even if it was) whether there was a schedule of instalments which Hicks may already have broken.

Re: Club Refinance Thread

Yup, we are like piranhas on a feeding frenzy on speculative morsels thrown our way

No more info yet mate, but there is talk about the refinancing deadline being today october 1st, and then a 14 day period of grace. Several others, including Kopfaithful, have highlighted october 1st as a very important date. Will have a look later for an update.

Re: Club Refinance Thread

According to a well respected poster on YNWA, due dilligence is acutally happening with one bidder now.

We've been let down so many times, so let's all pray that something actually will happen.
If we don't change ownership, the future is so dark I can't even imagine how shite it will be.

Re: Club Refinance Thread

Due Diligence can take upto 2 weeks and thats bang on the button for a RBS takeover and sale the same day, can we be that lucky in this dark dark season?

Re: Club Refinance Thread

Just been told Hicks has re-financed.
🙁

Got a text with the same news.....whoever refinanced him, everyone needs to boycott the fuckers forever! This is a disaster of Titanic proportions.
