I don't know why, hicks an gillete have been scampering about every financial institution to get refinancing rather than make no money. No, the simple fact that the club is worth more than 237 million and they're willing to pay 40m a year for the benefit. It makes sense to any bank who only has to stump up 237 to give to the twats, make a load of profit in the meantime, then pick up an asset onb the cheap if they go bust. It's simple.

Because the club can't afford the payments, meaning the Yanks would have to continue propping up the club if the club was to make loan repayments. Hicks is bankrupt, so I'm not really sure how that can happen.

No, it's watertight for the bank. If anything goes wrong they end up with an asset worth more than the loan. If it doesn't they make a load of profit on the interest. It's a no brainer. If I owned a bank, I'd be lending the money and hoping they went bust about 11 months into the term.

Rosco, if they get the 300 mil they need, the bank will charge them huge amounts of intrest which for the time being they can pay. Even if thy fail to keep up payments the bank will have an asset they could easily sell for 300 mil. And will still have made a profit fromthe deal. And with regards to hicks isn't it his company and not him who's bankrupt. Plus he has just set up another company for this very situation.
