Indeed however there are a number of things in the Telegraph article that really worry me including the bits about the board being open to any proposals and the bank not wanting to call in the debt .... Mind you maybe one shitehawk is better than one... Fuck knows .... I just hope cunt let's go before he kills us totally.

Re: The Countdown to October 6

As for Gillett, if he defaults, does this mean the Springfield Crowd (Gillett's financiers) would take ownership of 50% of Liverpool? Jesus, this really has the makings of a mess.

Perhaps they would be in the queue behind the Royal Bank of Scotland. What a mess indeed.

Good old David "Moron" Moores. That monumentally stupid lump of fucking lard.

I don't really blame him in the sense that the other crowd wouldn't have worked out either. But what's his thing about joint ownership. Second time, worked out even worse

Re: Liverpool Board set to block G+H's mortgage attempts

Hicks ready to launch bid to seize control of Liverpool

Tom Hicks is reportedly ready to launch a bid to seize control of Liverpool Football Club.

The American billionaire is desperately trying to take control of the Merseyside club from co-owner and business partner George Gillett who is battling financial problems.

Hicks wants to force through a refinancing package so he can raise enough capital to purchase Gillett’s share of the club as he fears he would not get enough if he were to sell now.

Liverpool fans are hoping to force out the US duo but if they cannot achieve that, will most likely stage mass protests, walk outs and a potential boycott

Its on tribalfootball and goal.com, so i thought id post it

Re: Liverpool Board set to block G+H's mortgage attempts

Hopefully Hicks last desperate attempt to salvage something, and hopefully it will be blocked and not refinanced.

Is there a person out there that you hate more? I'd like to punch his face in so bad it hurts.

It's still Robbie Keane for me

Re: Liverpool Board set to block G+H's mortgage attempts

Normally this latest move by Hicks should have been imfuckingpossible. However when you see how credit has been thrown after people, especially in America, I am very worried. He doesnt have zip to offer us as a owner, and still he might be able to refinance or even worse that RBS actually prolong his loan to just twist the knife even worse upon the Liverpool supporters.

He is actually willing to drag the club down if he looses himself. He dont give a fuck if the club will be wiped of the map, he is just holding on to a straw that might give him something back. He is still looking for that who will pay him 600 mill for the club and he is willing to put the stadium, the players, Melwood and future television incomes in the hat to secure a refinance. I am not sure, but I bet he is able to reinstall the old board to have his way. This is very very worrying. He is dangerous for us. And he dont care about the club at all. He just look for some does.

Even if Texas Rangers was nanckrupt and sold on a forced auction leaving him nothing earlier this year I assume he will be able to get finance in US somewhere. And this is a guy worth nothing. Abspolutely nothing. He has no money and he still can be able to get hold of 2-300 mills in cash against the club as security. I wonder if this guy actually has the guts to walk around on open street? The only thing I am certain off is that he will never ever again set his foot in Liverpool.

Re: Liverpool Board set to block G+H's mortgage attempts

if that bastard manages to get refinance I think everyone who is a liverpool fan has a duty to go to JL airport and fling rocks at him (hicks) everytime he comes over to watch a game.

Trust me. He will never show his face here ever again. He will effectively rather stamp the club and see it go down the drain together with him rather than letting it slip out of his hands with him having nothing left now. And for doing this he doesnt have to show up at neither JL airport nor other places in town. He dont care and he dont need to. It is all about paper movings for him now.

i am unsure about the juridical aspects here, and under which lawss this ownership is operating even. I think the mess is much thicker and worse than we actually can see, and that frightens me a lot!!

Hi All,

Here is the text of an email that I have just received from David Maddock. Hicks is out to get full control at Anfield

Hi faith,

You were right about hicks going to fbr. Apparently gillett has defaulted on a loan in u.s. Which uses lfc as collateral, and so his stake could be taken off him. Hicks trying to buy credit note and refinance to take full control - very messy!
And Broughton, Ayre and Purslow will all vote for this?
That's what I'm wondering. If Hicks wants to put the club and all its assets up as collateral, can they not resist that in some way?

In a normal loan, first charge on collateral is pretty secure. That would be RBS' security I presume.

However in the world of toxic financing, only God knows what is going on. The lender is taking pretty high risk for very high return. As long as RBS gets their money back, they don't care who would lend the owners any money. It is grim if this leveraged second tier loan gets through. It is like a blackhole for LFC. Start composing your eulogy!

Re: The Countdown to October 6

Obama was making some noise to thighten the financial sector in US, and to control them more. The financial sector in the US is the only place Hicks can get some credit now (wonder how the hell he can anyway but it seem very possible) against all the clubs assets. If he is in sole control he can throw the board and reinstall his family, and thereafter do all his shit as he wants. I assume that is very possible reading the latest articles.

If he does I of course assume broughton resignes and maybe Purslow and Ayre as well as it will basicly wipe the club off the map.

I am very worried these days. FUCK FUCK FUCK. We really have to rely on Hicks not gaining enough credit to buy Gillets assets.

Please anyone enlighten me what Obamas noise towards credit institutions was all about, and can that have any influence on our situation?

I thought a sale couldn't be stopped?
We have no bids, and if we get a bid and the board accept it it cannot be sanctioned by the minority of the board (Hicks and Gillette).
