If true this could be the worst day in my life time as regards to all things LFC. 🙁

How old are you?

Re: Club Refinance Thread

I fucking knew the club falling into the hands of RBS was too good to be true. if I were a costumer of RBS I would remove my money and move to barclays and then I would send rbs a letter saying this shit is THEIR fault as they gave the yanks time to sell when they should have called in the loan in june the time it was originally up for review. it was THAT obvious the yanks were stalling for time.

hicks be satisfied until we are in the championship with a half empty stadium, that stadium of course being anfield as hicks doesn't have the means to start the new stadium.
this is liverpool's darkest hour.
[/quote]

That isn't what he ultimately wants, but the risk of passing through that stage is one he's willing to take in pursuit of the pot of gold which he thinks he'll get eventually.

that's how he got the refinance, he just showed the bank how much the club will make when the rights reverts back to the club.

hicks never wanted to sell the club in the first place.

well, quite but I had hope that 'maybe' with the appointment of broughten he was serious (about selling). just more lies on top of the lies he has already told.

There have been several dates touted. Some even suggested the bank could close the book allready the 1st of Oct.

Re: Club Refinance Thread

There is also a rumour about the emergency board meeting being about Hodgsons future.
Sounds like a rumour that the blue half of Liverpool would start if you ask me.

I hope to God Mark is wrong, it feels like my heart is broken and I just want to get my hands on Hicks and break every bone in his body.

I doubt Broughton would have been appointed at all if it had been left to Hicks. Broughton's there because RBS twisted H and G's arms to make it happen.

So the meating could be extremelly positive or extremelly negativ? Hodgson and Hicks out or Hicks refinanced. Fucking hell!!!

Re: Club Refinance Thread

There should definitely be an emergency meeting about Roy's future at the club. I wouldnt be surprised if he walked. Cant see him lasting beyond the derby if we lose

We all feel that way mate. I was explaining to Avvy yesterday that people think those of us who can make the match on a regular basis are somewhat privileged. Truth is, it's becoming more and more of a soul destroying exercise watching disaster slowly unfold in front of you every time and you can just feel the growing sense of desperation and desolation (and even resignation) throughout the ground.

Re: Club Refinance Thread

Yea I have seen a few different dates myself. The one I see refereed to most tho is the 15th.

This mess needs sorting asap.

I always had my doubts with appointing an English manager. Records show they are shit the EPL.

Of course he wanted to sell, but he wanted 600 + mill pounds for the club!

Re: Club Refinance Thread

I agree with neil that Hicks has never wanted to sell. Right the way through he's wanted to hang on until he could get his snout in the trough for the TV deal. Putting a prohibitively high price on the club was one way of trying to ensure no sale went ahead.

Re: Club Refinance Thread

i know this is a side issue right now, but can anyone actually properly confirm that TV rights are due to be sold individually in a few years? i'm highly sceptical of that, because not only is it absolutely massive news which shouldn't go under the radar, but it would also represent a serious departure from the whole ethos the premier league was established with.

i thought the big imminent tv deal people were referring to was mainly related to the expanded internet/mobile phone rights that can be expected next time along with the resultant revenue. going down the spanish route of non-collective agreements would be dangerous territory for the league, even if it'd probably be a relatively good thing for us as a club.

Re: Club Refinance Thread

I'm completely detached from the club at the moment.

It feels like a sick joke.

Broughton & Purslow should be on a flight to Texas on Weds! about 4 hours ago via Twitter for BlackBerry®

interesting...

but having said that, if hicks has secured refinancing he may want to personally sack them.

I was so excited about going for the Utd game at Anfield this season, now I'm not sure if I'll bother. Sadly, I've lost very much of the interest in the last few weeks. I even said to all my mates that I wouldn't watch one more match while Roy is in charge, because it just makes me feel physically ill and like the love of your life have broken up with you. If I can stay away is another matter..

The only positive thing so far about this rumour, is that no other sites have mentioned it. There are a lot of very well connected posters and journos out there who would probably have heard this aswell. Fingers crossed.

Re: Club Refinance Thread

if hicks has secured refinance then the club wont get another penny from me. I'm not going to another match until hicks is removed.

I tend to agree. The problem would be getting every Liverpool fan to do the same. It's the only way we could hope to speed up his departure. And of course there's the danger that Hicks would be willing to run the club into the ground just to spite us.

Re: Club Refinance Thread

*I'm just trying to cling onto anything right now*

Is it at all possible that with GG out of the way things might improve on the financial basis? I mean maybe with Gillet out of the way Hicks (possible new partner?) might be prepared to invest some actual cash into the club.

I'm sure I saw mention of this in an article a short while ago but haven't been able to track it down yet. Still looking though.

The lad on YNWA who said that Due Dilligence is being done, is the lad who owns the site. If that gives it any more credibility.
