\"Henry, 55, set the stage for victory by aggressively boosting revenues after he and his partners -- including TV producer Tom Werner and veteran baseball exec Larry Lucchino -- bought the Red Sox for a record $690 million in early 2002. They made the most of Fenway Park, the oldest stadium in Major League Baseball, by squeezing in more seats and then charging the highest prices for home games,\"

That is the bit I didn\'t like.

They still sell out for every single game. 81 home games in season btw.
I was going to mention there being a number of similarities between the Red Sox and us, the historic stadium being one of them as mentioned in the article.
I\'d be quite happy if Henry did take over. Anyone holding out for a benevolent billionaire is fooling themselves.

It sounds like from this that they will just try to squeeze as much as possible from the "franchise" to boost revenue to fund the team.
This just sounds all to familiar to the business model that H&G had, although I suppose if there wasn't interest payments of £50m odd to be made every year it might help.
Also I think H&G have increased the reevenue streams significently already and I doubt if there is much room for further increases, bar large increases in ticket prices etc.
