I'm not sure about him

The staying at Sevilla comments means fuck all. Borini and Coutinho said the same. The presidents comments also means very little. This will be done early this week. No doubt imho.

So who won? I'd say Rosco, but he came out looking a bit weak.

Next time he posts anything, about anything, a few posters will be licking there lips, ready to shoot.

I want to see Modo vs Rosco, this place will explode.

Modo would hand him his arse on a plate.

Suso to Porto it seems is at an advanced stage so there's no chance of the lad getting a recall which is a shame.

International: Liverpool target Alberto Moreno (right) played for Spain in last month's friendly against Bolivia

Luis Alberto, meanwhile, who moved from Sevilla to Liverpool last summer for £7m, has been discussing a loan to Malaga.
Liverpool midfielder Suso, who was initially proposed as part of the deal for Moreno, may now move to Portuguese side Porto, who have expressed an interest.
The 20-year-old has one year left on contract and Porto are keen to secure a quick deal.
Liverpool also plan talks with Iago Aspas, whose agent has stated he wants to stay but they will sell if he is unhappy at being a back-up striker.

I mean we are looking to add the final pieces to a team in order to win things . If the likes of moreno and lallana have been identified as those pieces then there is an argument to pay above our original value (within reason of course , a couple of million etc) . If they aren't willing to push the boat out then how highly are we rating these players in the first place ? I want to sign players this summer who will make a big difference , not just add some depth for the champions league .

..but their profile's breed that notion, people are just making that assumption because the likes of Moreno and Can are relatively young and fairly unknown, how do we know that they aren't nailed on for the first team, at least after an initial bedding in period? They're going to cost near enough a combined £30m, hardly buttons.

It makes me laugh, if United or Arsenal paid £30m for two kids, everyone would take a completely different slant.

People are getting too hung up on us paying big money for a household European name and assuming that buying anything but that equates to "squad player". We've said for years we need to be shrewd, we did that with Coutinho and Sturridge, two players not many people thought would be anything more than good squad players.

And then pretty much failed with Aspas and Alberto.

Is is far too lazy just to say some people just like players with a "fancy foreign name etc".

Alberto and Aspas who cost a combined £13m. Is it far too lazy for people to just assume that buying "fancy foreign name etc" is the be all and end all? While buying anything other than that must mean it's a squad player?

[article=http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/481373/Alberto-Moreno-s-Liverpool-move-hits-snag-as-Sevilla-look-to-renegotiate-16-2m-deal]LIVERPOOL'S deal for Alberto Moreno has been cast into doubt after Sevilla made new demands about how the £16.2m fee is to be structured.

Reports yesterday suggested that Moreno was due to fly to Liverpool and complete a medical ahead of the move.

But it now seems there is still some further negotiating to be done before Brendan Rodgers can definitively say he has got his man.

Sevilla reportedly now want a bigger percentage of the fee to be paid up front with smaller subsequent payments, while the Spanish club are also believed to want some of the bonuses and add-ons to be guaranteed by the Reds.

The move has also been complicated by Ivan Rakitic's impending move to Barcelona.

Sevilla need to raise substantial funds this summer, but may wait to see how negotiations with Barca over Rakitic pan out before finalising a deal for Moreno.

Nevertheless, the the 21-year-old left back remains committed to a move to Anfield.

Moreno attended Liverpool youngster Luis Alberto's wedding over the weekend and was impressed by the former Barcelona player's reports about life on Merseyside.

It now remains to be seen whether Liverpool consent to Sevilla's new demands or whether the news proves to be a stumbling block for the Anfield outfit.[/article]
