Extremely sad about this news on a personal level, and i'm sure most supporters will always have a soft spot for Rafa. But as someone said earlier, onwards and upwards we must go.
 
I supported him right up until we failed to qualify for the CL or win the UEFA Pot (having set one or the other as my requirement for him, I couldn't then go back on it). I was also in no doubt whatsoever that the man loved the club and was busting to do well here, so I always knew this would be a sad day, whenever it came and for whatever reason.

Both his time in charge and the sadness of his going remind me of GH, another who truly loved being Liverpool manager but was ultimately unable to grow with the job beyond a certain point. If he goes to Inter (which looks likely now) I hope he tears up Serie A. I also hope we avoid them in Europe, because any team up against Rafa in Europe has a tough job on its hands.
 
So we've rid ourselves of Rafa. I suppose we'll throw a bit of money at the new guy. I hope he doesn't almost win the title, because that'll preclude him receiving additional funds the following year. Rafa was the author of a lot of his own misfortune, but he's been treated like shit, and didn't deserve to go out this way.

It was time to go, but I do feel for him personally, I don't doubt his love for the club or his ability as a manager, it just wasn't working here anymore. I'm sure he'll go on doto really well elsewhere.

Likewise, feel completely sad. we all perhaps feel this isn't a bad thing, but he brought us to new heights... put us back in Europe's elite, and I'll always have GREAT memories of all the amazing wins against the likes of Real, Barca, united, Juventus, AC, and more..

To be fair to Terrier it is probably the only way he knows how to dance
 
his own misfortune to qualify us every year for the CL and take us to two finals and beat our record points tally twice. A victim of his own success because the stupid idiots thought we should be doing better with no money and half the wage bill of clubs like Chelsea

Remember Benitez PAID for every transfer he has ever made, he has done us a massive favour and not the one who put us in debt and forcing the club to be run on a shoestring budget with ridiculous expectations. I lcan't believe how foolish the Liverpool board are but that's modern football for you, the press are all experts
