that was last season we are talking about the here and now and what will happen to the key players when big bids starting coming in for them. torres is 26 I seriously can't see he waiting around at a club in transition, further more the new manager may want to rebuild from top to bottom and an overhaul of the squad is going to cost a lost of money, the sort of money a torres/gerrard sale would fund.

Didn't that report about Broughton get rubbished?

All these people (Rebel, Neil etc) saying that top players will leave now that Rafa has left are missing a pertinent point. If reports are to believed, and that's all we have to go on at the moment, and the body language and performances of the players are anything to go by, then they actually wanted Rafa to leave. Gerrard definitely lost faith in him. Possibly Torres as well as others.

The world doesn't revolve around Rafa. Neither does LFC.

I am saying that top clubs will be in for them and it will be convenient for the broke yanks to sell them off as they lower the wage bill and get to pay down the debt. Players just want to be paid a lot of money and play at the highest level so if a top club comes in for them and an offer is accepted by the trecherous board then they will be off, some may force the issue we don't know but we're not Chelsea and we wont get a top replacement or big money for transfers .
