Liverpool's Summer Transfers : Speculation & Rumours

[article]Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign Polish forward Mateusz Musialowski from SMS Lodz, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.

The 16-year-old attacker is regarded as one of the best young players to emerge from Poland in recent years.

A Liverpool source has told Football Insider the club have beaten off stiff competition to win the race for Musialowski after having a bid accepted.

He has agreed the terms of a scholarship contract that is set to be converted into a professional deal when he turns 17.

Liverpool will have to pay training and development costs to his club SMS Lodz, who play in Poland’s fourth tier.

Musialowski has been capped by Poland at Under-17 level after progressing through the age groups with the national side.

He has long been recognised in his country as one of their best young talents and first came to prominence at the age of 13, when he was compared to the teenage Celtic sensation Karamoke Dembele.

Like Dembele, Musialowski is a skilful forward capable of operating in any of the main forward positions or in a playmaker role behind the spearhead.

Europe’s biggest clubs have been keeping close tabs on Musialowski for many years and there has been a stampede of interest this summer.

The youngster, his family and representatives have been convinced that Liverpool can provide the pathway to achieving his ambitions.[/article]

I think hes featured enough to show us hes nowhere close to the level of our first team. People have speculated hes going to compete for Firminos place in the team, he looks more like competing for Lallanas spot on the bench.

Bet you said that about Keita once.

How good is Victor Osimhen? His stats suggests he is no better than Kasper the Norwegian Ghost. If we can't buy this season, maybe we should think about loaning in players just to add more depth.

Mbappe crocked in the French Cup Final, leaves the field in tears, his dream move to Liverpool now in tatters.
Like that would stop us from signing him haha.
But it was a terrible tackle and that injury is going to take time to heal. He'll probably miss the CL playoffs.

Hardly the same situation. Keita was signed for a big fee after a long drawn out transfer. He was expected to go straight into the first team and replace Gini. For a combination of reasons that didnt happen and so hes spent the last 2 years on the periphery playing games in isolation or when weve had a run of injuries.

Minamino on the other hand doesnt seem to have been signed to go into the first XI and looks nowhere near the level of our front 3. He may take 2 years to work his way into the side like Keita did but it seems far more likely he was signed to fill out the squad on the cheap with Lallana leaving for free.

I doubt we'll sign 3 players but would people be happy with Doucoure, Lewis and Saint Maximim/Barnes?

We should be very interested. It's a shame Osimhen is signing for Napoli, a dirty double of him and Ikone would be amazing.

Dortmund supposedly in talks with this boy

Wow. That is impressive.

He does not look like a 22 year old at all (and I'm not referring to his appearance here)

It would probably be better for us to sign a 22 year old Ikone as back up for our front three, than 29 year old Thiago for our midfield.

He looks to be in his 30s, but the guy was born in France so you'd have to say the age is legit
Don't know his price tag but I would imagine it's anything north of £45m
