Maureen first time around at the Chavs. Went from also-rans to Champions overnight.
Kenny at Blackburn.
Keegan at Newcastle, first time.
Souness at Rangers.

Just a start, anyone else?

On a side note, taking nothing away from Mourinho, Chelsea had the money to make immediate improvements though. Blackburn had a lot of money too if I remember correctly?

Did Rafa change much at Valencia?
Hector Cuper had them right up there and challenging in Europe.
Likewise Jose after Ranieri.
Harry taking over spurs in the bottom 3 and getting them to where they now are is pretty special.

Klopp-Dortmund
Some of his signing were that of a visionary and trophies to match all from pittance.

I'd say Benitez at Liverpool. Took over one of the worst Liverpool squads in living memory and turned it into the best team in Europe.

Lobanovsky at Dynamo Kiev. Transformed the club, influenced a whole country and practically invented what became pro-zone.
