Mentioned in the match thread, but Mancini waved the imaginary card at the referee today in the game when Skrtel didnt trip Toure.

I think that was pretty disgraceful and for all the praise the bloke has got for a lot of the good he has done, that shit will not fly.
 
Yeah was a bit distasteful.. along with Kompany's "That's twice" at the ref trying to get Adam booked.
 
But Andy, you're not a proper Liverpool fan so why are you mentioning this?

Can't be arsed going through the match-thread, but I thought they may have been some contact on the knees which was difficult to assess, but maybe not. I can fully see why the Ref gave it though. If it was a dive, it was perfectly done.

I did think Mancini was being a cunt though. You're 2-0 up, you bellend. Why act a prick?

In fairness he did effectively apologise in his post match interview; he said it was a mistake, but then responded "no" when asked if he regretted it - but I read the latter more as a misunderstandign of the quesiton.
 
Lets make a huge campaign for killing all spontanity, emotions and passion in football. We want a strict rule of accepted behaviours, and for anyone crossing that (rather dull) line should be punished hard. We dont want to be provoked in any sense and we will not tolerate opposition to enjoy their victories. If they do they are pricks!!!

Come on guys, let Mancini be Italian, cause that is what he is. If that means some irrational waving with hands so be it. If you think Kenny is under pressure, this guy is defo under pressure, and it will start mounting harder now!
 
In a way I've some sympathy with that, but the difficulty with that type of behaviour simply being tolerated is that sometimes it's going to work. We then have to either follow suit or let other clubs gain an advantage. On balance I'd prefer it to be stamped out to begin with.

I dont think it works that way. We would have argued a red card if it was Kompany, while on 3-0 I would not have worried anyway. However they are to play us shortly again.

but it is the same as Cabaye not sent off, Lampard not sent off, Spearing sent off. It is no consistency, but no pattern either....
 
The players might have argued a red for Kompany but Kenny wouldn't have been waving an imaginary card on the touchline about it.

Barry had walked minutes earlier for a very soft foul and I for one thought it looked a blatant penalty at first and was equally amazed to see Skrtel dodge a card there.

I can fully understand Mancini's reaction in this particular incident.

None of the studio experts in Norway thought he was hard done by. The first challenge is totally unessecary and from behind. Spearing leaves the ball long before Barry takes him down. And then with a yellow he clearly sabotage first Gerrard and then Ageer with no interest of the ball.
