Martin Kelly

It shouldn't even be a debate anymore.

He's simply a lot better than Johnson.

I'm on team Kelly atm but I'd be tempted to pick Johnson for home games against sides looking for a draw.

I said this before anyone. I told you so.

Let me be the first to say I'm sorry for doubting you.

42 out of 72 Glenjo's Liverpool appearances have ended in draw or defeat.

Not surprising is it?

Really?? Have you just made that up?

I was the first to say Johnson was a shite right back and a waste of money and that Kelly was better. Where are all the posters who said the opposite? Where are you cos I said the opposite. Told you so.

I'm surprised we've won 30.

He's been here since summer 2009, which only really vouches for Rafa's last season before he was sacked, and then Hodgson's freescoring wonders.

He isn't a 'shite' right back Sheik, he just can't defend very well. Some teams don't need a decent defender at RB.

Should be considered for the wing.

I don't get this "he should play on the wing" argument. He played there a few times for Pompey but aside from that, he's been a right back his entire career for Club and Country.

But, he's a bit pants at defending in his preferred position.

However he has two feet, the best of which is his right, he is quite fast, can jink past people and can shoot well with his left. All this makes me deduce that, seeing as the toilet stealing tool is usually stuck on the edge of the opposition area when they lump the place he should be, is that he should be utilized at RW.

Dirk Kuyt, Jordan Henderson & Steven Gerrard aren't right wings either.

I still like Glenjo a lot and would happily see him play at RB for us.

Kells is the shit, no doubt, but Glenjo is a good footballer worth sticking with.

Kelly is even a better attacker than Johnson. I enjoy Kelly in the side more than GJ in every way and I was one of the first to say it.

I don't think he's a better attacker at all, he's alot less technical and subtle once he gets in the opposition half, he can cut in and have a dig, but his attacking best comes when he has space to run into, he knocks the ball ahead of himself and chases it. Glen Jo has got two good feet, can dribble quite well, can cross and can score. He just can't defend.

Agreed! I said early that Kelly will be the England rb but I didn't think he would be better than GJ already. Like them both.

What's with this I said it first nonsense anyways?

What do you want, a medal?

As for the England RB, I think we'll have to start winning stuff otherwise Richards (who looks to have progressed a fair bit anyways) and Smalling will get picked ahead of him.

Plus Kyle Walker will be another English RB option.
