Super Sturridge

Sooooo close to an assist with superb Suarez-like trickery

When the Danes have the ball how are England meant to counter quickly when Rooney is the only one up there and Sturridge and Sterling are deep in their own half on each wing, typical from that man in charge.

Ahhh the echo is, not unsurprisingly, better than me.

Not Keegan, but Kennedy and McDermott

That wasn't the first time. We provided about five of the team (including one of Chris Lawler's far too few caps, and the same for Tommy Smith) a number of years earlier when England played Malta at Wembley. I don't think Malta got into the England half all evening.

Rooney has been shockingly poor. Looks unfit and off pace.

Lallana on the left and Sturridge central would have been so much better

Pretty much. . Dinosaur football tactics from a Dinosaur manager

He is playing 5 in form LFC players... However they require a manager who is able to set them free..

I always liked Kron-Dehli whenever I watched Denmark. Honest, hardworking and clever, reminds me of an in-form Kuyt.

Rooney has probably been England's worst player. Haha

He never touched the ball it was a brilliant challenge from the Danish defender

I cannot remember the last time he actually played well for England imho.

Gotta feel for him though under Moyes every day of the week... Takes a day off from Club football only to be managed by hodge podge..

Mind you for 300,000 a week I'd put up with that...

You're older than me. Chris lawler I don't remember. Tommy smith I loved but was very upset when I met him. Really very unpleasant in person

Cole has been quite good. Have a feeling we'll offer him a contract this summer.

As you said, slow, theres no urgency or tempo, nothing new tbh.

First real bit of urgency there and something happens.
It's no good when it's in five minute patches.
Uruguay and Italy will be licking there chops looking at that.

It's too much for me to get my head round, he gets £750 for every £1 for the average salary. He out earns the highest paid of Barclays investment bank by a factor of three.

No manager will ever drop Rooney. Sturidge on fire for club, Rooney not so play Danny out wide. Typical England

Yep, no idea why Rooney and Sturridge are not closer together more often either.

Its Moyes type stuff, those stats with Rooney and Van Persie when they pass to each other about 4 times a match.
