Think he played against Robotics too, wsa pretty good.

Very pacy, and I think he'd be decent if we had other decent attacking outlets..

We don't, so he looks doubly shit.

Wolfsburg manager Steve McClaren has offered £6m for Liverpool flop Milan Jovanovic.

The former England manager is desperately trying to fill the void left by star striker Edin Dzeko who joined Manchester City for £27m last week.

And McClaren has targeted Jovanovic, who has failed to make an impression at Liverpool since joining on a free transfer in the summer.

The 29-year-old has started just two Premier League games since August and could be allowed to leave by new manager Kenny Dalglish.

Serie A sides Fiorentina and Genoa have also been keen on Jovanovic, but reports in Germany have revealed that Wolfsburg are the first team to make a formal offer.

:🙂 Won't believe it until proved otherwise. How much was it that Hoffenheim offered for Babel?

Haha.

how mental is that.

Big Shteev would go massively up in my estimations if this happened.

There is no way they can afford his salaries.

It does sound too good to be true but they have £27m burning a hole in their pocket so who knows. They need to sign someone quickly too so that might work out in our favor.

Take it but I can't help feel given the chance he'd be a good goalscoring option off the bench IF played up front. A good pacey option for the last 15. Has he been given any kind of a chance up front? Kenny would surely help a striker get better?

Hmmm I cant see they start paying their players 70K a week no matter how much money they have at the moment. It will fuck their structure up forever.

Graeme Bailey of Sky and Paul Tomkins replied to my question on Twitter as follows

@paul_tomkins @GraemeBailey Any truth to the rumours that wolfsburg have made a 6 million bid for Jovanovic? fingers crossed!

GraemeBailey

@Barrymac20 Wolfsburg are looking for attacking options but think Patrick Helmes is their preferred option at the moment.

paul_tomkins

@Barrymac20 No idea! Would be crazy money for a player of his age.

if we can get rid of him on a free and not have to pay any of his wages i would be pleased.... we certainly wont be recieving a transfer fee for him.

Andriy Voronin Dinamo Moscow £1,800,000 10.01.2010

Almost 2 million

Considering the signing on fee and wages that shitbag would have received to not play, more transfers like that we don't need.

Hopefully we can get some money for Jova, who's at least a better player.

The Daily Express understands that Newcastle were prepared to pay Henry a six-figure weekly wage to accept a short-term contract to sign up. Now, they will back manager Alan Pardew’s attempt to find an alternative solution, having also lost experienced striker Shola Ameobi with a facial injury.

It also emerged last night that Newcastle tried to sign Liverpool forward Milan Jovanovic as a makeweight in the Carroll deal. But Jovanovic, 29, remained out of reach after the Magpies played hard-ball over Carroll’s fee.

Pardew will look to free agents such as Henry’s former Arsenal colleague Jeremie Aliadiere, available since he quit Middlesbrough last summer, as an immediate solution. Other players are in the frame, too.

Emergency loan window opens on Monday, he could still go.
At least we could see what he is like as an out and out Striker for a month?
Not to mention getting him off the wage bill

Liverpool are struggling to reach a compromise pay-off agreement with Milan Jovanovic in order to move the Serbian international on.

Anderlecht and FC Brugge have offered Jovanovic, 29, a return to Belgian football but the former Standard Liege striker is not prepared to take a considerable cut on his £60,000-a-week wages.

He is said to be chasing a one-off payment of around £2.5million to leave.

Jovanovic's preference would be to join French champions Lille
but there has been no firm offer for the 29-year-old, who is currently recovering from knee surgery.

As long as the transfer fee covers what he want paid in that package I'd do it.

We HAVE to get players like him of our books. Sweet baby Jesus we've made some horrible signings.

Fuck his 2.5 million. It'd be better to make him train on his own, or with poulsen. Just cross country twice a day. With 500 push ups inbetween. Porridge for lunch. No ball work, they'd never get to see a football again for the rest of their contracts

Then you can fine them a weeks wages for every training session they misses. When they complain to the press thats another weeks wages. I'd recover the 2.5million in no time.
