If you don’t pick Ramsay you need another sport 😉

Pick your top 3.

Alisson
Jones (Nyoni)
Konate
Van Dijk
Kerkez
Mac Allister
Szoboszlai
Wirtz (Gomez)
Salah (Ngumoha)
Chiesa (Ekitike)
Gakpo (Ramsay)

lol some have Salah MOTM and others not even in the top three having won and scored the penalty to put the game to bed. This after a sublime assist and a constant threat down the right.

The bias against one of our greatest ever players is nuts 😅😅😅😅

Kerkez and Szobo had better games overall. The bias FOR him is pretty clear 😉

Given you selectively quoted the BBC headline in your Salah thread, here’s the BBC match report online fan rating list for the game…

Player of the match

Number: 8 D. Szoboszlai
Average rating
star.63d2406f0f.svg
8.47

Number: 8 D. Szoboszlai
Average Rating: 8.47

Number: 6 M. Kerkez
Average Rating: 8.10

Number: 17 C. Jones
Average Rating: 8.02

Number: 11 Mohamed Salah
Average Rating: 7.98

…and on

Funnily enough that’s how I’d have it except for putting Kerkez (who was incredible throughout, assisted the crucial opener and was voted LFC Carlsberg player of the match) first. Szobo scored a cracker and ran the midfield, whilst Jones was excellent out of position and scored the opener with a great run and tricky finish. Mo had his best game in ages and took the pen well, but there was a marked difference between a frustration first half and much better second.

The question was whether Salah played well as it wasn’t clear from our own match thread.

Not who else played well.

If the journo paid to objectively rate the game and called out Salah when his own fans can’t it clearly speaks to a negative bias.

Jones
Szob
Kerkez

Mention for Salah and Ibou.

I had Salah at 3.1, it would've been 2 had it not been for the really shite corners, the free kick he decided to shoot from and some poor passes that he very nearly apologised for. Sublime assist for a goal that killed the game and some great hold up play. Not giving him anything for the stat padding penalty, just kidding, it was a great pen.

Jones MOTM because he played out of position, inverted at times, ran the line at times, scored a great goal, all in all a really intelligent performance. Barely noticed our first choice RB, Dom, wasn't there.

Szob did what Szob does, topped off with a fantastic goal.

Kerkez, I thought that was his best game in a Liverpool shirt. Good going forward, good at the back, busting a gut to cover the left hand side.

Yeah but you're kicking off in a thread where people pick their best 3 players from the game....and then say "yeah, there probably were 3 better players objectively"

Picking a top 3 wasn't easy today, and immediately you're on the "HAHAHA BIAS" train

it's weird

Where did I say objectively? I said the complete opposite. Objectively from the BBC (not fans) Salah was no1.

The only thing weird is the hate Salah gets on here. In fact weird doesn’t even do it justice.

Fair, i missed the point of that poll.

So your opinion overides the international fanbase who voted in that BBC poll? It's bias that Jones won man of the match?

"Goals win games" and curtis got the breakthrough. salah got his stat pad penalty and an assist for an absolutely sumptuous szob finish.

I don't think it's wild that salah isn't in some peoples top 3. If he scored an open play goal and was a terror down their right side, i'd agree with you. But he didn't. He was (once again) easily muscled off the ball and (once again) snatched at shots rather than taking them.

Its perfectly fine for other players to get the praise you know

There’s your bias again…’objectively’ the BBC did not state Salah was no.1 - a headline that states ‘Salah shines’ only equates to “they’re stating he’s no.1” in your confirmation bias…care to consider that the headline is driven by his news currency and the comparison with his recent performances?

The BBC poll has Szoboslai as motm (salah 4th) and the LFC Carlsberg motm was Kerkez.

…but you do you and selectively take a BBC headline clickbait as objective proof Mo’s been wronged again.
