Embarrassing seeing that second half at home to Burnley.

Pick your top three.

Alisson
Frimpong
Konate
Van Dijk
Kerkez (Robertson)
Gravenberch (Mac Allister)
Szoboszlai
Jones (Chiesa)
Wirtz
Ekitike
Gakpo (Ngumoha)

Frimpong - not much quality but the only one providing width

Wirtz - decent except he should have stopped the equaliser at source

Kerkez - decent offensively despite Gakpos best efforts

Jones did ok. Ekitike looked sharp but his inappropriate shooting gets on my tits. Virgil, Konate, Mac, even Szobo looked a bit wobbly.

I think you are going to ruin Wirtz’s sweep.

Some people have a clear bias against a player, so ignoring a single vote when a player otherwise has a clean sweep is far fairer. As in blind bids where the top and bottom bids are excluded. It's happened 2-3 times this season with certain players.

The single dissenting vote should be disregarded and the player should get the bonus points.

I also reviewed the goal again, which supposedly he should have stopped.

He could have pressed the ball, but he also had the left back outside him and 2 CMs (Jones, Gravy) behind him. And…he was playing RW, so hardly responsible for the man on the ball.

It ended up being two votes but this has happened plenty of times in the past. Nobody came up with clear bias back then. Al does list Wirtz second place so I don’t really see a problem with his votes.

The new boys take all three places. Wirtz lead the way, Ekitike second and Frimpong third.

I’ll close the thread later today as there is a conversation ongoing.

No more votes will count.

Everyone bar one voted for Wirtz. It's a pity that people allow their biases into the voting. When everyone and their dog votes one way and then there's one dissenting vote it's good to consider just why that is.

Yes it has happened in the past and that's why I suggested ignoring a solitary vote against - not just this time but from now on. Seems fair.

People are entitled to their own opinion. We aren’t sheep on here. You are one poster who isn’t afraid to go against the grain.

What bias has Al Gatto shown? Had you pointed it at me I would possibly understand where you are coming from.

I checked posting history. Let's just say Wirtz is not amongst his pet favs. That said I still think that one dissenting voice, whether from bias or not, should be discounted for the extra point. When it comes down to 10-1, 15-1 or whatever clearly they are worth the bonus. Even if it's Mo. !

I don’t know why you are agitated with it.

Also, it was two votes.
