You know that I know that you do care and are trying desperately to prove to everyone you don't.

You're a care bearing motherfucker.
I know youre not into cycling or anything, but is there much noise about this years Tour of Australia what with the green team starting up?
Cycling this year is gonna be a mess with the Olympics a week after the TDF. Could make the Giro the one to watch this year..

Yes im aware Ross wont like this.

Actually I'm huge into cycling Oncy. Huuuuuuuge. I don't bother posting about it on here cos that'd be another bloody thread I get embroiled in that takes up my time. I know le tour back to front, I've been to the tour down under twice (not going this year but a bunch of mates have travelled over this weekend and are calling me incessantly), read Robbie McEwen's very interesting autobiog over Xmas, and I recently spent a small fortune on an upgraded bike (Giant TCR 1, full ultegra, but needs better wheels) and I cycle twice a week.

So anyway, your question. Well the Tour down under hasn't got much publicity since there's no Lance or Cadel (although most people appreciate Cadel's schedule meant there was no way he could do it) and also because it's in Adelaide, and Adelaide's y'know... Adelaide. The GreenEDGE team will be interesting, they're getting a heap of publicty which is mostly down to some PR and enthusiasm cos there are no real bonafide superstar names although I guess they're pinning most of their hopes on Matt goss doing some damage in the sprint categories. Going to be an interesting year for them.

Agree with you about the Giro too; although how serious some of the big names take the Olympics remains to be seen.

I disagree. The guy at the shop let me trial the 6700 for a few weeks and I found it quite (not sure of the right word) clicky maybe? And didn't see the benefit of the extra expense.

Anyway, I'm loving my ride at the minute, but just need some decent wheels, which are going to have to wait.
Oh. I stand corrected. For some reason I thought you werent a bike fan.
Yeah I love my cycling very much. Hows the Giant? Im getting a new bike myself in the next few weeks. Not sure which yet.

I had the one before the 6700. It was a massive improvement over the 105 at the time

Yeah, maybe horses for courses. I just didn't find it as smooth a ride, and I even gave it 56 weeks to try and work my way into it, but no good.

Yep, its excellent.

I'd been a specialized man for years cos I started cycling properly in the States and got the specialized one there, but a friend here got me into Giant and brought me to their store where thuis absolute superstar guy fitted me out from top to bottm. He took 2 days to do it and had me on some copmpuerized machine for hours refining the whole set up. The end result was that he lowered my seat angle by about an inch and a half, brought the handlebars forward a touch and it's made everything 1000 times better. He said I was sitting too high my whole cycling life. at first I was like this is way too low, but my speed, endurance and back have improved out of sight. The bike's good, nd I like it, but the difference made in going to see someone who knows what they're on about and spends time analysing your cycling was worth every penny.

and now you're bringing tennis into it !! Rosco is already collapsed on his floor twitching after reading this thread

Moussa Sow scores goals in abundance. Wouldn't mind him at all.

I love cycling btw.

Have watched Tour de France for as long as I can remember and can easily sit on me couch for a FULL Mountain Stage. Loves it.

Christoffer Juul-Jensen, is he Australian? Irish? Thought he was Danish to be honest, anyways he certainly looks a prospect. So does Rasmus Quaade, look out for that name cycling enthusiasts. He's going to be a TT-monster.

Moussa Sow is a poacher, 31 goals in 54 games or summat.

For 6-7 mill + Joe Cole its a no brainer.

i fucking love cats. i love all animals, really, though. i remember going to my Auntie's farm in North Wales when i was a kid and they had all kinds: horses, about 10 cats, Boris the dog - i think they've even got a polecat now.

animal heaven.

I don't really like cats. The neighbour's cat used to shite in my sand box as a child. But then someone poisoned it. Not me I swear. I've only ever killed some chickens and the odd fish.
