Nations League - more bloody football??

What happened to the days of footballers getting 5 or 6 weeks off before returning for a gruelling pre-season? The amount of games nowadays is off the scale and just ridiculous. Love my football as much as anyone, but it's all-consuming, and a (proper) break even just for us fans is needed too.

Next season is looking like the first “normal” one since the pandemic followed by the World Cup screwed us over. Starting Sat, 12 Aug 2023 and finishing Sun, 19 May 2024. Fixtures are released tomorrow

Having said that it is the Euros next summer
