Ole at the wheel 2024

Not to disagree directly with any of the above, but I can't help recalling that Claudio Ranieri - CLAUDIO RANIERI - won the Premier League with Leicester ******* City.

Given the quality of the squad they will have at the end of this window, they will soon start stumbling into trophies irrespective of the manager. As the Judge pointed out above, Ranieri won the league with Leicester, Di Matteo won the Champions League with Chelsea. If Ole does not win anything, they will be attractive to a lot of good managers who will back themselves to win major trophies with that squad, like Tuchel with Chelsea.

We looked way ahead of them after the CL and PL win. Disappointed that we let the advantage drop.

We are still miles ahead of them, behave.

Dont think their squad is better, but They have indeed closed the gap. Signings like Sancho will contribute to that but in all honesty when you have the 4 most expensive transfers in the league ever, with 3 of them in the current squad now, you’d expect them to be right up there.
Solskjaer wont win them the major trophies though.

I really don't think that's the case anymore, we've stood still for 2 or 3 seasons now. They obviously brought in some very good players and closed the gap. It's arguable they have a better squad now but are just being held back by a poor manager.
Ahem.. Where were we three seasons ago, and then two seasons ago? I thought we’d achieved something that was somewhat spectacular.
Last season was the issue, with hardly any investment and the financial/COVID crisis.

They're not closing shit until they fix their back line and midfield, especially now that Pogba wants to go.

Strongly linked to Varane, Goretzka, Saul.

Varane looked pretty shite at the Euros. Not sure if he’d still regarded as a top CB because of name and playing for Real. Used to like him myself but has been pretty meh lately.

I saw Varane keeping that average backline together, with the support of N'Kante, so I still think he is top notch.

Thought he was all over the place in the Euros. His match ratings were low aswell, highlighting that thought.

No point having good players if you can't actually manage it. I still see ole as vastly inferior to Klopp...last year we finished 5 points from them with a broken defence.

Yes they have signed a great forward but having VVD and Gomez back will be like having two new signings as well... If we can get that midfield player I feel we need I see no reason why we can't go on to enjoy a another 90 plus pointer league.

Varane is a great defender but he's never been on a winners podium with Messi and Ronaldo as our VVD has. Sure Varane has more team titles but as an individual VVD is far superior.
