I suppose the “interesting” question is, where does Trent go if it all turns to shit quickly in Madrid - there are only a few teams that could afford his salary and we probably aren’t one of them.

Let me slightly rephrase it - we could afford him, but the thought of paying a fee to bring him back on more wages than he was on here previously makes it something that would never be tolerated.

Which means… most likely an English team Chelsea (just because they’d buy anyone) City (if Pep thinks he can use him), Arsenal (although I don’t think they need him), Newcastle (if they consolidate top 4) or Utd (because they would) or a loan to an Italian team, or if he’s really, really lucky - Bayern (given PSG don’t need and Barca can be ruled out for numerous reasons).

Utd actually starts to look like the most viable, because they’d see it as a coup.

There should be massive bans for Vini Jnr and Rudiger for that (at least 10 game bans). There''s no way players can be permitted to attack the referee without serious consequences for both club and players.

Then just slowly wanders back while Pedri, who made the pass runs into the open space and scores.
