Thank goodness he wasn't, if the Benteke lash-up was anything to go by. Have a look at what Ian Graham's had to say about that and about dealing with Rodgers over transfers generally. Fabs has a point IMO - Rodgers went off the rails after we fell just short of the title that season.

I am not advocating for Rodgers transfer acumen. I am just pointing out that comparing Rodgers to Arteta is a bit unfair.
