Although I believe in the BR project, we seem light years away from this lot.

Seing Hazard and mata, they are downing and Carroll money, makes you sick.

What's AVB's problem with Adebayor? I know Defoe's been putting the goals in for Spurs and deserves to keep his place as such, but it's a bit mind-boggling to think Adebayor has been on the bench for 5 straight league games (and he didn't even get onto the pitch for one of them). This after 17 goals and 11 assists in the league for them last season. He looked pissed when he was waiting to come onto the pitch. Surely it's a matter of time before he kicks up a fuss about the lack of minutes.

What's the deal with all these players/teams not wearing the kick it out shirts?

Charlie Adam's £10m set pieces just got an assist.

Rooney OG from a Adam set piece.

And you know that they would have come to us how ?

Scott Sinclair @ Citeh:
- Prem: Unused Substitute
- CC: On 61 << can't even get a start here?
- Prem: Off 45 min
- Prem: Off 73 min

Bench to Sinclair: Welcome back!

QPR (if they don't improve in a hurry soon; will depend also on who they inevitably replace Hughes with) and Reading for me. Soton and Wigan will be in the mix; I think this might be the season Wigan's luck with relegation escapes finally runs out.

Newcastle 1 - 1 Sunderland.

Interesting to see that after a bright opening day beating Spurs, Newcastle have gone on a slump picking up only 9 points from 7 games. They've had a tough starting schedule like us though, having played Everton, Man Utd, Chelsea and this derby in that stretch. Fortunately for them, they won't be losing Ba and Cisse to the ANC.

Yea i totally forgot QPR, they've just gone 1-0 up against everton. They signed a shit load of people, maybe they'll come good when everyone settles.

I quite like southampton hopefully they stay up

When QPR went on their spending spree, I was thinking that Hughes would look quite silly if it blew up in their faces, as it seemed that he was getting a lot of veterans who might end up just being happy to be there for their last big contract. I know that accusation has been leveled at Park Ji Sung for example (not sure fairly or not; haven't watched QPR this season). I didn't expect them to start as badly as they did though.

This off-season, Hughes went out and got:
- Park Ji Sung (31)
- Andy Johnson (31)
- Robert Green (32)
- Ryan Nelsen (35)
- Julio Cesar (32)
- Jose Bosingwa (30)

Add that to Cisse (31), Zamora (31) and SWP (30) all brought in last season. They finished just a point above the relegation zone last season, so I can understand Hughes going out to buy some veterans to help bring some experience to the team, but not to the tune of 6 guys, and 2 of them keepers. Mind-boggling spending there.

QPR have spent 36 mill £ and dont look any better at all.
Hughes has no system and no consistency in his first 11. Its a matter of time before he's sacked

Yea, I think the club as a whole will look really silly if it goes wrong. It's the opposite of all that supposed fsg buy young sell high and profit stuff.

Even if things go well these players aren't gonna work in the long term, they might have a liverpool style nightmare on their hands trying to shift a load of dead weight on massive contracts.

I read somewhere the likes of Granero and Hoillet are on huge contracts and a lot of them have no clauses for relegation, probably not very smart 😱

I dunno, if he used the word 'project' enough he will have bought himself a fair bit of time

QPR denied a penalty there. You'd think that Skrtel getting penalised for it vs WBA would see that given
