Move on... he is a walking sick note.
I think what makes the Ox different from many Arsenal players is that he's not a fair-weather type, he has more raw aggression and passion about him that's probably not quite being fully used in Wenger's more cerebral way of managing. There were glimpses of it in the last game against us when they were down 3:1 and shell-shocked and he just put his head down, drove right at the heart of our defense and scored. Or in his crucial injury-time assist after coming on as a sub against United. If Klopp or another manager can tap into that instinctive and emotional place, make him feel trusted and in return ask for consistent 110% effort, I think he can be a really good player, because all the raw tools are there.
Good post and description. Thats the bit I like about him aswell and probably part of the reason Klopp likes him.
The big question is wheter or not Arsenal will sell to us. If he pushes for a move and wont sign a new contract I can see them selling him this summer, but in January, that might be a tough transfer to get done.
Yep, that's my only real reservation too, he'd be given a similar role here as he has at Arsenal, would he be happy leaving Champions League football for that? Klopp would really have to convince him that he'll make him a better player to make the deal happen imo.A couple people have pointed out that his progress may have been stunted at Arsenal due to never quite becoming a crucial member of the squad. That raises obvious questions about true level of his ability, mentality and so forth but the biggest one is this - would he be coming to Liverpool with the promise of regular team action or would it simply be a case of more of the same?
I don't see him displacing Coutinho or Mane at the moment so how would his role here be any different to his role at Arsenal and how would we end up seeing an improvement worthy of a 25M investment?
I put this to bed already. No need for Jurgen to even waste the words.I am for the idea of signing him.
Its just a bullshit story. Wont happen.
I'll repeat what I said earlier it's nonsense. However, I am interested in bringing in Reus and Pulisic. I'll have a gentle word with my good friends Hans-Joachim Watzke and Michael Zorc.
Thank god. 4/5 years of people on here talking about 'the ox' has been averted.
