Seriously though, I don't think I've ever seen an established "top class" keeper fall from grace that fast. I don't know how it started but it seems like Guardiola was the first to notice the decline.

Nah he was definitely good for a few years, though probably overhyped. Playing out from the back was never really his strong suit, and when the rest of his game declined he didn't really have anything else going for him.
