It's funny to think that this game is all they have to play for now. They'll limp across the line in a CL place, their only hope of taking anything out of the season will be to beat us and then pretend that we were up for it, when we'll obviously not be arsed.
Well there is the idea of playing Trent and half hoping someone goes in hard on him and snaps his knee or something that puts him out of the game for a year.
If we approach this like the last game we will get mullered.
Now that nothing matters you are going to see the best version of arsenal from the whole season. They had us when we played them and then due to their managers crippling risk management they let us have the ball.
He sent a similar message by signalling to his team that they needed to secure cl in the four games they had left in the prem, rather than the two games they had left in the champions league.
Arsenal will be broken after yesterdays defeat. Will be a weird setting for the game this weekend and it all starts with them giving us a guard of honour.
I just hope Slot doesnt rotate to much and that the players are up for it. Anfield will be buzzing.
I'm not overly arsed about the performance, but it's important for me to not lose.
Arsenals last PL victory at Anfield was in 2012. I do think that's something psychologically important about maintaining that, especially given how fragile their club is. It's the sort of thing that gets in their heads.
Yeah I wasn't arsed about Chelsea and didn't even watch it. However this is a rivalry, and like or not they will be along with us next season. We should both expect to have a head start on City & Chelsea if both are out trying to win the club world cup.
Let's make them miserable, let's make the gulf look & feel huge. Relentless performance like the one against Spurs.
