It is an interesting question if Wirtz will have a break out game or whether he will break out more gradually. Like Szoboszlai, for example. Szoboszlai didn't have a break out game. But I think now it is fair to say that he did break out. Grealish, in contrast, has clearly had break out games already for Everton. He created all three of their goals yesterday. I mention Grealish because him and Wirtz are similar players. And it's interesting that they both don't pull up their socks. Grealish is a great, great player. I think it is more than fair to compare Wirtz to him. And vice versa. I think that if Grealish went to Germany he'd take the league by the storm. He took Everton by the storm. One's just not sure if he'd enjoy life in Germany. Perhaps he wouldn't acclimatize well. That's often critically important to a success of a trasfer.
It honestly fucking astonishes me that anyone ever expected anything else.
You tell a guy who only had a fleeting glimpse of an incident that no actually you got that wrong, make him jog over with his tail between his legs to look at a monitor, give him 30 seconds or so in full view of a screaming crowd to watch a couple of replays, all the while he's got colleagues in his ear explaining to him in detail why he's wrong - of course he's going to "change his mind"!!!!
Most people are conformist sheep and terrified of resisiting a consensus. If you know anything about psychology you knew it was always going to be like this.
