I can't remember the City one I saw recently posted on ESPN (perhaps) for the past three/four seasons but it was almost the reverse in terms of points & goals scored reduction and goals conceded increase. This season ISN'T just an aberration for them, it's a trend.

I hope you're right, but we only lost once last year, and still finished behind them so it's hard to see that as being the 3rd year of a downward trend...

EDIT : I should clarify - I meant after 25 games as per the LFC graph.
Of course one could say they went on to get X points but of course it becomes harder and harder to achieve if your points total (after 25 games) is lower each season.
I think it is actually very possible to maintain this form into next season, I know it sounds a bit strange but, it is not like we have reached this level by playing any exquisite football. I think it has been more of a mental/physical stamina journey for the players something which I think may be easier to maintain than playing a certain style of football at pace for a long period.
Yes - boring our way to a title, if it works - lets do it every season. Leave all the fancy stuff for the cup competitions that we actually care about.
