I think they'll find some rhythm this year, at least to a degree, but we all know from painful experience that Rodri is likely to be operating at around 70% of his best for at least the next year, and he may never quite reach the heights he once did.
As for Foden, who knows what’s really going on there? And Cherki feels like a complete coin toss. He could go either way. From what I've read Reijnders seems like a smart signing on paper, but transitioning from Serie A is no easy task. Plenty have struggled with it before.
We'll need to be better than we were in spells last season if we want to stay ahead of them, though no one would be shocked if their legs gave out by February. Firmly believe us not competing in the CWC will set us up well and I hope FSG don't push us to participate if/when we become eligible for it.
