Hello all,

As you can see, don't usually post as I prefer to lurk and be entertained by the often contrasting views that are posted on here.

I'm in Liverpool this weekend with some mates and whilst we have access to four fancards, only two have enough credits for tickets for Middlesborough and two of us are going to miss out. So, where would be good to watch the game in town and what are the chances of the game being shown anywhere if not on sky.

Many thanks and now I'm off back to lurk!

It should be on sky as it's got something riding on it.

What type of place are you looking for? Sports bar with minge to look at or place with decent ale?

McCooleys on Concert Square is good. Loads of big screens and usually ok to get a seat if you're early enough.

all of the above would be good but will settle for sports first and rest later if necessary.

will have a look at McCooleys, someone also mentioned the Abbey in Hanover Street has a big screen and is good

Yep. Also check on the matchpint web site to see the full list of pubs and bars that are definitely showing the game.

McCooleys is a decent recommendation then.

Tribeca on Berry St is good if you want food as well. Decent seats, screen's and pizza with table service throughout.

None of Sunday's games are on Sky so you'll have to rely on a pub that is known for showing overseas streams.

What's the story with that? I'd presumed they just hadn't announced what match they'd be showing. They always showed at least one of the final round of matches.

They are on Sky. Just not confirmed which games will be shown. I'd be surprised if ours wasn't...CL spot(s) is the only thing left to be decided.

Last year they showed three (on ss1 ss2 & ss3), as the games are again on a Sunday not Saturday, I'd be surprised if they didn't do the same.

Last year they announced them about a week before.

Ah right - i was checking the sky sports app to see which was on but as you say, nothing selected yet. Would assume it would be us, city and arsenal as nothing to play for anywhere else. I guess they'll see how Tuesday goes for the gooners.

We're bound to be one of the games selected for the tv, aren't we? The 'battle for top 4' is about the only thing to be decided in the last day of the league.

Sky listings have super Sunday on SS1 and SS2.

It will probably be announced tomorrow or Thursday the games being shown.

If memory serves, don't Sky do that thing where they flick between different games depending on scores?

The only very slight doubt about us being on the box is if Arsenal lose tonight, as top 4 is then done & dusted ... but even then there is the "battle for 3rd" so I would be confident we are on.

Nice one macca. I was trying to remember the name of that site. I'll be in Whitby on Sunday so will be searching for a good sports bar.

Well that woudl be interesting to watch anyway, as Sam will send his boys out in ballet shoes, under strict instruction to not dare so much as breath on the manc players. He will then take his seat in the directors box - the one directly in front of Slur Alex, facing backwards and at a low enough position that he barely needs to bend his neck to administer the ritual BJ.

Lets be honest, whether or not the game is on Sky rarely (if ever) creates an issue for Liverpool boozers to be showing the match....

The Excelsior on Dale ST (as ever) is my suggestion - great old school looking boozer, with excellent beers and a Red who runs it (but with a growing Blue regular contingent *sadface*)

Just buy tickets off scalpers outside the ground.

We're on SS1.

Watford v City is on SS2.

They're not showing a third match this time. I thought they'd show the Arsenal Everton game as well tbh.

This is the 29th league match we've had televised this season, more than any club in one season before.

Thanks all for your helpful comments.

We might head up to the ground and if we can't get in, go to a pub near there now that it's on sky. Which would be the best pub by the ground?

I'm not sure if a few on here still go the King Harry. The pints in there have always been abysmal in my experience.

There is also the twelfth man. The ale in there is better but still not great.
