I think it's rare for us to get to this stage with a manager, usually managers have ran their course or whatever. The thing with Slot is that we look so negative, full of errors, we have so many players below par, we have no clear plan or system, we are playing within ourselves and making mediocre sides look good and generally there's just a bad vibe on the pitch. He's also got a horrible stubborn trait that's reflected heavily in his bias over players and he's got zero personality in post match interviews where you feel like he knows what he is doing and he is backing his players.
I really don't see a point where he will turn this around, the players look like they are just waiting for the change now and many of them must be wondering why they fuck they signed/stayed.
I have no patience or faith, it's quickly evaporated as the cloak has gradually been lifted since the whole Ibiza shit and complete free fall in form. What happened with Jota was awful and it's a wound to our club that will take a long time to heal, but it should have been something that made us resolute and determined, it should have made us an even tighter unit and that sort of thing is usually then reflected on the pitch. Instead we look broken, lost and we don't have that father figure that we once had to make us see some light and clarity through it all and where we can make something positive out of an absolute tragedy. That's where Klopp would have united us, but this what we're seeing right now, it's just empty and it gives me nothing.
I maintain this is as flat and defeatist as we have looked since Hodgson and his "our best performance" type attitude after capitulating in the derby, that's who Slot is coming across on a par with. I'll always be grateful for the league win, but I'll always feel that was mostly the hangover from the Klopp era along with a few factors that just went our way. It unraveled pretty quickly after that and I don't see any way out of this mess now with Slot remaining as manager, he has to go in the next week.
