I can not be arsed with arguing over whether is it was 8, 8.5, 9, 9.5 or 10 out of 10 window - we would be better off debating how many angels can fit on the head of a pin, or, even, how to define World Class.

HOWEVER - one clear and objective indicator of the success of this window is that it is now 2 days after the transfer window closed and we are yet to see the annual thread about players who ended up out of contract and we could potentially pick up - none of which ever happened, btw. This may be the first time in SCM history (*) such an ill fated & worthless thread has not happened, and long may we continue in that vein.

(*) I may be exaggerating, but it feels right

Say its a Bluebell thread without saying its a Bluebell thread. I can't remember a season like it. After 5 signings I was happy. This seasons transfer dealings exceeded all expectations. None of them are shot signings.
The hard part begins integrating them all
