He couldnt play until January if he signed for Barca and they have the most competitive attacking line up in world football meaning he would need to displace one of Messi Suarez Neymar or Iniesta between Jan and May to get into the German team for the Euros. Sounds like a sensible decision to me. Also I cant see them being interested given they just signed Turan
