Robbo

Clearly Trent would walk back into our set-up but it won't happen; due to the Slot factor.

Why is no-one bothered Tsimikas is nowhere near as good as Robbo as a back up? If Lloyd Christmas breaks his neck tomorrow, who's going to play? And let's face it, he's only really had a good couple of games, are we comfortable putting all our eggs in that basket?

Risk City.
So, yet again I remind you that we are repeatedly told that transfer selection is not a Head Coach responsibility, they have the power of veto. So it’d be up to the DoF to decide if he returns not Slot. If Hughes et al decide it is possible I’d be hard pressed to believe that any Head Coach would say no.

In the extremely unlikely situation he did become available we wouldn’t sesign him more based on the exorbitant cost.in fact I doubt RM will find any club willing to pay his wages and a big fee

I would take him back but only under the condition that we pick a harder language for him to fake fluency in at a beginner level.

I want to read news reports about how he's a polyglot.

It's absolutely risk city I agree. No one wants Robbo to go and I doubt anyone wants tsimi as the backup. The issue is though I think it's tsimi or no one and everyone is resigned to that fact.

Another body is better than another position szob to fill in.

Ultimately, I respect Robbo and his contributions enough to wish him well, whenever and however he leaves. Especially in a World Cup year, I can understand wanting match time. But going to Spurs doesn't seem like he's guaranteed to have better opportunities than here. And we're certainly threadbare in terms of leftbacks, as well as leaders of his calibre.

Hope he sticks around until the summer.

But, if he leaves, recalling Tsimikas is okay with me.

Regarding Trent, I might be in the minority but we're going to need a rightback for next season since Bradley is made of biscuits and Frimpong might be more valuable further up.
Only for 10 million.

he’d be better off hooking up with the old gang at brentford or going abroad, he could end up unwanted at a post frank spurs very quickly

If this is being led by Robbo I hope his agent has the foresight to not get him into a situation like Harvey Elliott's. I'd say it was also a little risky to move to a club managed by a guy who's job appears insecure.

I thought Spurs had spent money to reorganise post poch and were now fully into the Sporting director/DoF/Head Coach structure

Tsimikas looked more effective going forward last season and probs a little more solid in defence due to Robbo's legs having gone.

They did seem to be more “on a par” as you say. Tsimikas notoriously needs a few few games to dial in tho

yea not sure at all about spurs structure but if there’s a transfer that slips through the cracks it’ll be an experienced free to plug a hole mid season when the manager is pushing

i don’t think it’s a good move for either party honestly, not even sure there is a good move for him in the PL. maybe he should go to bayern and be another superstar ex PL player.

Or enjoy Napoli with fellow Scots

feels like we’re picking a good retirement home for uncle andy when he’s at least ten years younger than me 🤣

great player though, always shite when it comes to this

I know right, if he does leave this window he needs a send off worthy of his contributions to the club, absolutely phenomenal servant who has won it all.

As long as it is Andy asking and not us suggesting then all is well in my mind
