Robertsgone?

Apart from Robbo being Robbo, the number of potential sales all at once is a concern. Yes, I guess he was no longer 1st choice but we seem ready for a big turn over.
Yes, if we have a choice I’d love to keep him for another season at least. But I do understand his concerns in wanting to secure the next 3 years of his professional life. Far easier to navigate a good career move as first choice LB at Liverpool than as a 32 year old second choice LB next year. Wish he could have been our next Milner but it’s not to be.

We only win big shit with a Scot in the squad. Guess we need to hang on to Doak. If Robbo goes, what can you say but he has been a truly magnificent signing, and if he wants to prolong his career as a vital member of a team, then he should go with our blessing.

Just on the whole no fee / small fee, there will probably be a discussion going on about wages. Obviously Robbo is only guaranteed LFC wages for another 12 months, so the fee issue will be around whether Atletico pay a fee and ask us to subsidise the wages by making a termination payment to him, or whether we agree to release him and they fund all of the wages. Either way, given his age, it's unlikely Atletico will be paying him LFC money.
That said, I don't think it's unreasonable for us to expect a fee for him, likely with add-ons.
If we were to terminate his contract, we'd need to pay him off (albeit probably at less than full whack because he'll agree to a compromised amount, taking into account what he'll earn at Atletico) but it also means we wouldn't be transferring his registration, which means there is nothing to which we could attach add-ons. So I don't see the contract termination as a realistic outcome here.

Ah Nicol. The pundit that looks like Mrs Doubtfire and with an attitude as if his balls are on fire.
Was one of my favorite players when I started supporting Liverpool.

I've never seen a more impressive utility player anywhere, not just for LFC. He could and did play every position across the back four and both wide MF positions, and looked as if he'd been born to play each one. Plenty of players can "do a job" in more than one position but Stevie Nicol was good enough to be first choice in any of them.

We been looking at 18 y/o Lennon Miller from Motherwell apparently. He is very Scottish so might suffice
