We are weak out wide both up front and at the back and we've got no depth in the middle. How do you make that work?

totally agree and all but he has to take a tiny bit of responsibility too for not retiring from international football and acting like a child if he doesn’t play every minute

He's a washed up elite striker. He's doing exactly what I'd imagine he would do based on everything he's ever done, and what they mostly do. The signs have been there for year. Purple patches of productivity, obvious physical decline, huge stretches of uselessness.

Oh don't get me wrong, i don't think slot fixes this.

At least a change in formation might force

1) more midfielders, so might have more control
2) maximises both our attacking fullbacks
3) give the CBs more defensive help from midfield
4) removes salah from the pitch and hopefully have 2 mobile forwards
5) Allows wirtz to focus on being the 10, rather than drifting up and down all day

None of that will happen with slot in post
