enrique said he's not coming to us, its on the sky sports website

So much for Phil Thompson's inside scoop.

he woulda been an ok signing, we just need a leftback, maybe this means we'll get baines, which would be good, but to be honest i dont see it happening

Enrique may have improved, is quick and can somewhat defend but I've been watching him of late and remain unconvinced. He is Newcastle quality, that's for sure.

If we're going out to buy a left fullback, get Baines. At this point I'll give Glichy a shot.

I had no idea that Maxi and Kun were good mates.

Looks like Maxi could be a big factor in this ever getting off the ground.

He says he's not currently negotiating a move, not that he won't join us.

Aguero and his family came over to Liverpool around Xmas, for dinner with Maxi and his mob.

There's a photo of them all in a restaurant.

If we get Aguero, it will be down to his matey-ness with our Maxi.

Maxi and Aguero share the same agent so it could mean fuck all that he's "here".

Read somewhere that Aguero is on 130k after tax in Spain or something, that could be a bit of a problem..

Shouldn't be a problem if we get rid of Cole and if we gamble on Kelly at RB this season, Johnson leaving might free up even more cash considering that he's the 2nd best paid player in the club.

i cant see it happening purely because of his wages, but who knows, maybe he's not that arsed about money

Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness has announced that an agreement has been reached for the signing of Manuel Neuer from Schalke.

Porto striker Hulk appears to be keen on a summer move to the Premier League, according to a report at Talksport.co.uk.

Liverpool, Newcastle and Tottenham are all keen on the Brazilian, who scored 22 goals this season to help Porto the league title.

"The Premier League is one of the biggest tournaments in the world and I want to play where people fight for titles and where there is an ambitious plan for the future," Hulk said.

"I like the Premier League, the Bundesliga, and Serie A, so I can not choose a particular championship, but my choice will be based around the club rather than the league."

Hulk!!

Replacement for Spider-Neil?

He is selfish, but hopefully young enough to get that out his game.

I don't want him either.

I also don't want any more "I don't mind him as long as he's not a regular starter... although we don't actually have anyone else for that position, so he probably will be a regular starter" players.

I mostly agree but for wing positions we need more than one player and we are hardly going to sign two world class players. So wouldn't mind us signing these Hulks N'Zogbias etc. as long as we sign someone with real class as well.

Yeah, but if Downing comes to us, it won't be to sit on the bench.
[/quote]

Yeah, of course not.

Wouldn't he struggle for a work permit though? At 24 yrs of age, can he be granted a conditional one on the pretext of his "potential'?
