Selcuk Inan

Although starting at the beginning of his career as a defensive midfielder, he has developed his abilities to accommodate a more offensive style of play on the field. Inan is now renowned for his vision, close control and exceptional long-range passing, as well as remarkable work-ethic often ending up on top of the list of players who cover the most distance on the field.
İnan personally stated in an interview[26] that his role model has been Zinedine Zidane, although many fans call him the "Turkish Xavi" or "Xelçuk" due to his passing skills, through balls and crosses. "I know most people say that my style looks like Xavi, I guess it's mostly because I search for free space on the pitch. But we are kind of different. I just like to play simple and I'm always looking for a place where I'll be able to do that, ultimately help my friends the best and the most effective way I can. I grew up watching Zidane to be honest, even now I watch him before the games and try to remember his moves during the gameplay. I want to play the way he did, shoot the way he did. I'm still working on it." said İnan.
Inan is also regarded as a great striker of the ball and a free-kick specialist.

A very intriguing player and one I know nothing about, to be honest. In general, for a 28 year old player who has never played at a higher level than the Turkish league, I would say it would be crazy to try to bring him to England at this point. BUT… What applies to other players, doesn't apply to players in the Pirlo/Alonso mould. The true midfield maestros are a rare breed and they often flourish late in their career. Pirlo joined Juve at 31 and completely turned around that team. I have to say, I am very, very intrigued by this link.

From the description it also seems that he is not bad defensively, which raises the possibility that he could play together with Gerrard and not in his place.

Had a very decent season for Galatasaray I believe, and would probably be a very good cog for us to have.

Probably just us being linked to some random Turk since that lazy Arda link didn't pan out though. Shocker, that one.

Apparently we scouted him since December:
Liverpool scouts present at the Intercontinental derby between Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe were impressed by Selçuk İnan, Burak Yilmaz and Semih Kaya according to Turkish newspaper, Milliyet.

The Reds were reported to be scouting Burak Yilmaz in the derby however, have also added Selçuk İnan and Semih Kaya to their shortlist.

Yilmaz has been linked with Liverpool since the summer transfer window. The Galatasaray striker has already scored 15 goals this season, including six Champions League goals in five starts.

The 27-year-old striker scored six goals in 501 minutes of Champions League football averaging a goal every 83 minutes making him the most prolific striker in the group stages.

Selçuk is a Turkish international midfield playmaker, renowned for his passing range, technical ability and being a set-piece specialist. The 27-year-old midfielder contributed to the Istanbul giant’s dominance last season with 16 assists and 13 goals in 40 matches. Selçuk is the league’s reigning Assist King and the 2011-12 Galatasaray Goal King.

Semih is regarded as one of the brightest talents in Turkish football. The Turkish international defender had a brilliant breakthrough season at Galatasaray in 2011-12, relatively unknown until last year he's now a household name.

The 21-year-old center back already has a Turkish Super League title to his name, has Champions League experience and is a national team regular.

Liverpool have strengthened ties with Turkey recently, helping organise Turkish reality series, Soccer Prince, as well as partnerships with Turkish Tourism, Misli.com and Ramsey.

Yeah, but can he do stepovers?

Any player in FIFA can do stepovers if I'm not mistaken. 😉

I did use his ultra upgraded card on FIFA a few months back though, and it had an amazing longshot with very good passing, but was a bit lacking as far as quickness and dribbling went. @Rosco

Is the final card that was released for him.
