I bought a crate of beer before and it had a pair of orange boxer shorts in it.

The Argies have given me nothing.

Hup Hup!!

They are new rather than an old pair just stuffed in with the bottles.

It is Belgian beer though strangely.

C'mon the argies. Then I'm guaranteed some dollar out of the bookies as I bet them and ze Germans before the tournament started. 5/1 and 11/2

Teams:

Holland: Cillessen, De Vrij, Vlaar, Martins Indi, Kuyt, De Jong, Sneijder, Wijnaldum, Blind, Robben, van Persie.
Subs: Vorm, Janmaat, de Guzman, Verhaegh, Veltman, Kongolo, Clasie, Lens, Huntelaar, Depay, Krul.

Argentina: Romero, Zabaleta, Demichelis, Garay, Rojo, Biglia, Mascherano, Lavezzi, Messi, Perez, Higuain.
Subs: Orion, Campagnaro, Gago, Maxi Rodriguez, Augusto Fernandez, Federico Fernandez, Palacio, Alvarez, Aguero, Basanta, Andujar.

Referee: Cuneyt Cakir (Turkey)

De Jong starts. Someone's getting sent off! And no Gago in Argentina's starting team. +1 for that!

Can see extra time in this one, maybe penalties.

Messi hasn't really been that impressive in this WC, some nice goals but he has been non existent for large parts of all the matches, this is his chance to really shine.

Andy Townsend promises us that tonight's semi-final will be a "proper game" unlike last night's match.

I haven't got a feel about how this is going to pan out, so I haven't bet on it . . . . . .yet!

Argentina are laughing at the Dutch wing backs, everything is coming down their right, acres of space.

I guess they wiped his head with the magic sponge. Particularly effective for neurological conditions.

This game is poo. Definite fear from both sides after watching that dicking last night.

argentina have the same problem that brazil did, their teamplay is a bit shite, probably take a bit of magic to win

That was a mind numbing fucking dire half. Shades of Liverpool vs Chelsea there at Anfield, with one team trying to win the game but the other one determined to squeeze the fucking life out of the opponents, the referees, and the fans, and then pounce on a mistake, score and shut up shop.

So I suppose the words "tactical masterclass" will be dished around tomorrow in the media again if / when the plan works and the Dutch steal a goal and batten down the hatches to withstand a late Argie rush. "Tactical masterclass" is I suppose the new brand name for "Gary Megson football".

Man Utd vs Chelsea will be such an exciting affair next season.

my god everyone.....support the argies

imagine if manure have the world cup winning manager after his penalty antics with everyone fawning over him

jesus, the best outcome tonight is penalties with the argies winning after another keeper change and van gaal left looking like a dick

"Louis Van Gaal must have a plan. He always does." Fuck off Chiles. The media fawning has begun.

The Argies are at least trying, but they're just so ridiculously reliant on Messi and trying to set him up or give him the ball every time. It's basically just playing into Dutch hands as they've got two guys on Messi every time he even goes close to the ball. With their bank of five and the bank of two or three ahead of it, I suppose the Dutch are inducing the Argies to commit another body or two forward to compete numerically, so that they can then capitalize on a misplaced pass / interception or winning tackle and then launch one for the likes of Robben, Sneijder and Van Persie to chase down and score or earn a cheap peno / free kick.

If that doesn't work, well, they can always call upon the big nasty Krul to stop all the Argie peno's.

Man Utd fans should be pleased now with their managerial selection. Van Gaal is going to help them win some of the big games in the league next season. Will fucking bore the pants out of fans though. But hey, tactical master.

The game needed an early goal or even a goal in the first half, 0-0 at half time in a World Cup semi and its make sure you don't fuck up and concede more than anything else, then hope that one moment will come at the other end to win it.

In a desperate attempt to make this game interesting, I have put a fiver on Dirk to score first at 18/1. On the tenuous basis that he often scored in big games for us!
