He's smashing it with 'them' at the moment and I can't help but think about how he would have played in our current team under Klopp.
 
If you mean instead of Benteke, then it is a long list! He probably would have been a better fit for our perceived style of play.

It's funny really, Kenny was setting us up for a big man up top, then Rodgers came in and ripped that up before signing a target man on his way out. Madness.

Everton completely changed their style of play for him... it's why Jelavic went from fucking ace to seemingly crap overnight. He needed the ball playing in diagonally in front of him on the deck. Lukaku needs crosses, which they duly started supplying. So the answer is, no, we should have signed Jelavic.

EDIT: They didn't change it for him, they changed it for Fellaini first. Whatevers. There was some other article showing that if you slid the ball in front of Jelavic 20 yards out he scored 2 in 3. That seems to be more the kind of player we need than a big fucker who gets on the end of crosses.

You're right, I don't want to see us with a big man upfront really, the SASAS season was what we want to see! Much more exciting and much more bite!
 
I was happy with the Benteke signing coz I'd seen enough of him knocking and flicking the ball quickly around the box to think he could link play as well as provide a big fucker option when there was no way through. He isn't showing any of that at the minute though. Would be interesting to see how he'd play with Sturridge next to him. Might be great together.
 
There are loads of players we should have signed. Probably a few we shouldn't have too.
 
Lukaku is much more than just scoring from crosses though. I'd happily have him instead of Benteke/Balotelli

Lukaku scores from goddamn everywhere .. not just crosses. Helluva good player.
 
No chance Chelsea selling to us. Was already on loan to Everton as well the season before.
