Former Barcelona youngster Bobby Adekanye has confirmed on Instagram that he has signed for Liverpool.

The Reds have secured the signing of the 16-year-old from the Catalan giants, despite interest from Dutch clubs Ajax and PSV Eindhoven.

Writing on the social network, he posted: “I am very happy to sign for Liverpool.”

Liverpool are understood to have won the race for the winger, who has been likened to Bayern Munich star Arjen Robben, after promising to integrate him into the first-team this season.
