Howe!!!I'd swap him with Alonso ASAP, but I understand why it would be in the summer. I'd bet on Emery, Howe and Iraola all getting more from this squad, but I think Alonso is the standout we need. Not without risk, though.
Hey, this is my thing!
100%There's often a new manager bounce when a caretaker comes in, which we desperately need to make the CL spots.
Sacking him now for a popular figure who the fans and players might rally behind for 3 months might actually be the prudent thing to do.
I think fsg waited to long and now it's to late to make top 5..Chelsea 7 pts ahead now and utd could possibly be 8..that retarded round table has given him more time as otherwise they'd look stupid sacking even if we lose to Sunderland and probably forest...There's often a new manager bounce when a caretaker comes in, which we desperately need to make the CL spots.

Jesus wept, did you actually type that?
I'd like to see him given the opportunity to get into the CL places and try to win a trophy.
Both of those things are still well on in my opinion, even though our performances and inconsistency suggest it won't be easy and perhaps even unlikely to do both.
Before the season, I said CL qualification and a cup win would be a successful season in my eyes, while our new signings bed into the team and league further.
He's a young manager dealing with this level of pressure for the first time. He could sink, or he could get to shore safely having learned a lot and gained experience of dealing with adversity under fire.
If he manages the latter, he will be better for it.
I don't buy the 'he's lost the dressing room' narrative.
I agree with the above, but the reversion to previous choices that haven’t been successful earlier in the season - doesn’t fill me with hope that Arne understands the problems in order to find the solutions to achieve the above.I'd like to see him given the opportunity to get into the CL places and try to win a trophy.

I'm confident that Arne understands the problems better than anyone on SCM.
