Didn't watch the game but found out that he was on the bench as Agger started. 3 games now since his French heroics and still not a clue to when he'll be starting.

I think we are putting either Skrtel or Agger in the shop window for January.
I'm convinced one of them is off next window.

I just wish the manager would stop fucking round with the centre halves. Agger was asleep for their goal though.

Its odd considering how poorly we have defended in his absence, that said I expect one of Agger and Skrtel to be sold in January but I wish we would pick a settled back 4 for a spell and just let them get on with it

Agger won't be in the team much longer.

Would think he would be the one to get sold as we have an 18 million pound player ready made to replace him where as if we sold Skrtel we would have issues on the right side of defence as Toure would be the only natural right sider left, Ilori? is he a right footer? regardless we cant be relying on him this season.

For me it's clearly Sakho and Toure with either Agger or Skrtel as backup, I prefer Skrtel simply because he doesn't go walkabout but his heading is still crap (that's if he even gets to the ball - which he usually doesn't as most decent forwards seem to get there again of him).

We need someone who is a monster when defending set pieces and that man is Sakho. I don't for a second understand why he didn't play against Hull or tonight.

so there is no hope of agger and sakho getting a run out together ? two left footers can't form a partnership ? but how come two right footers can ?

How many times have you seen Skrtel scurry over to the left to cover the defender, as opposed to the other way around? I'm guessing Skrtel's ability to play on the left slightly outweighs Sakho and Agger's ability to play on the right, which would suggest they're probably a bit more dependent on their stronger foot.

Sakho will be starting in the near future imho. Agger will probably leave in January and Sakho appaz wasnt fit enough to start yesterday.

Liori is a right footer, as others have suggested Agger could be moved on in January to leave Sahko in his place. If the right footed Liori can be phased in as his long term CB partner as Toure goes to pasture and Skrtel as competition(or moved on) we might see a cunning & masterly devious plan unfold which gives us a beastly long term CB partnership. A £10m offer for Agger should be gladly accepted.

Does seem odd that the manage went out and got Toure, Sakho, Llori etc but last night we still had the same pair with their same foibles.
Strange also how no one ever mentions the fact that we are coming to terms with not having Carra at the club. not a word form anyone in the media about that.

No.

Cos if Agger fucks up even once Sakho is going to bite his bloody head off, tats n all. Fee Fi Fo Fum

N.B. Toure would just smile, say something in French & they'd both laugh and Skrtel is ..... well you wouldn't want to mess with that would you.

Agger can get to fuck. More top quality heading ability from him last night. I hope Sakho and Allen get a run in the team now, allen was decent last night.

Because one of them was a legend, who you knew was going to cover your arse. Even then I preferred it when Agger partnered Carra, the balance always felt better (naturally).

I can't work out our centre-halves. I really can't.

They donated Everton bog-standard goals (in contrast we had to work darned hard to beat Howard & co.). Toure and Skrtel were worse than woeful against Hull-- if you're not scoring goals at least don't concede but we contrived to concede and badly, too. Last night Agger went to sleep against Johnson and allowed himself to be beaten to a routine header. And then Skrtel mentally goes walkabout and sells Allen a yellow card.

All of them need to buck up their ideas.

WhoScored says 97% Passing, 6 Aerial Duel won, 3 Interceptions, 3 Accurate Long Balls

He was brilliant today, couldn't remember him giving the ball away those stats confirm it.

Probably a rough edge or 2 to iron out and when they are he'll be one of the best if not thee best defender in the league, he has everything a defender needs.

That interception he done when we gave the ball away cheaply in midfield at the start of the 2nd half was brilliant defending, he read it so well, if he didn't they were clean through.

We have got a good'un here.
