Legend.

rafa and avb are the only possible candidates in my eyes. we would have all been wanking ourselves to death if we'd got avb before he joined chelsea.

We're not looking for a manager we're looking for a miracle worker.
In that case the only sure bet for me is....you know it...and Rosco hates it.

I wouldn't mind MoN. OK, he looks like a paedo but he's improved every club he's ever been at and never been fired.

Xabi's standards dropped, no question, he got found out a bit in his second season and alot of people wrote him off (prematurely, with hindsight) but there were other circumstances too, we lacked a wide player to really utilise his abilities to the full. That said, it was slightly frustrating that it took a kick up the arse and a feeling of not being wanted for him to play to a higher standard, to ultimately get a big move. It makes you wonder what the bigger motivation was, to improve because people were clearly unhappy with his current standard, or so that he'd get recognised by other clubs.

in hindsight, xabi slump is leagues better than the absolute fucking DROSS dished up in midfield in the two years following his departure.

I'm hearing big rumours about Rafa and Pako returning (I dont believe Rafa will come back) and even fucking Mourinho at the moment. The reality is probably Martin O Neill
MoN is not the right choice IMO.

We can still attract top talented managers I'm sure and not only the Steady Eddies from the Prem.

if kenny is indeed going to walk, you need a young manager who has a footballing principle and can mold the young players at the club using this principle until it is drilled into them and they fall back on this principle even if the shit hit the fan. someone like AVB seems ideal to me and the defenders we currently have at the club fit his ideals but not the midfield but given time he could purchase them.
someone like MON would be a fucking disaster. short term improvement and then when the shit hits the fan he fucks off.

I think what we needed most was a period of stability. Not to be from the sounds of things and once more the eternal LFC merry go round spins.

Ok. Given new information I now believe this to be true.

So im gonna sulk for a while and then decide who i think is best equiped to take this group of players forward.

🙁

i am honestly gutted if this is true as i so wanted kenny to be a success but his signings in the summer were a fucking joke and he should have known better.

Sad sad day if true,

But I'm still in DA ... even if we persuade Woy to quit the England job & come back,

Anyway I just hope this is sorted as fast as possible so whoever's in charge can start working on improving the squad and start looking at available players.

But, surely it was Xabi's fault for being shit ?

Or was it Rafa's for being mental ?

Xabi was shit very sub par for a season (or slightly more) and Rafa was doing the right thing in trying to shift an underperforming player. It appeared to me that Xabi took offense to that, got a lot fitter, upped his game, played to a standard he should have been playing to all along, and then left.

Xabi was dropping his knickers all over Europe a full season before Benitez tried to sell him. He was more arsed about the tax rate in the UK than anything else.
