So who do we want/expect/hope?

Yup. We had a great season the year before, nearly won the league and played some of the best football I've seen us play. We had awful injuries and Torres was acting like a soppy cunt. Rafa made mistakes, and he should have replaced Keane, but his hands had been tied in the last year in terms of bringing people in.

Under the right circumstances Rafa could be a great pick. Yes, I'd take some ludicrously exciting manager before him, but only a small number. The best man for me has just been sacked, but I'd take Rafa within the right structure that allows us to take advantage of his undoubted talents.

That's pretty much exactly how I feel about it.

Shit, this is why you keep beating me. You're in my fucking head.

I think FSG want Martinez because they don't wanna spend in the transfer market. However he is the odd one out on the list of prospective managers. While Martinez has done a sterling job keeping Wigan up and credit to him for that. Its not what we need.

We need a manager who will command respect with a proven track record in the league and Europe. Capello and Rafa both fit the bill but I don't want Capello. His football is as bad as Hogdson and they make Rafa look adventureous. The list of managers being approached and interviewed don't inspire confidence. Klopp, Deschamps and Blanc are all tied up with only Rafa and AVB immediately available. Its gonna be interesting.

Yeah I can understand that too, but the problem is, what are those circumstances and structures?

They certainly aren't him having full control over everyone and everything, which is what I am sure he will want

They have made it perfectly obvious they are implementing their own structures. Do you believe they're going to invite Rafa in and ask him just to reorganise whatever way he sees fit?

I reckon that if Rafa gets an interview, he'll get the job.

I don't care who's supposedly advising FSG. Rafa would be far more impressive in presenting a vision for LFC than any other candidate.
Hell, I reckon if Rafa got 30 minutes to talk LFC and football to Oncy he'd have him in his pocket too.
No i wouldnt. Rafa had his chance. He started well and then wasted money and went all megalomaniacal.
The cult of Rafa is really something else. Fired or left under a cloud from every big job hes had and still to some he has a solar ringpiece.
Unfuckingbelievable.
I repeat.
Rafa can get fucked.

I don't obsess over Rafa, I just state my opinion.

I still think he'd have you convinced in the time it takes you to change your mind.

This. So very much this. I would rather Roy came back than that fuckwit.

Yeah, I don't obsess about Rafa either. No-one who has said they think Rafa would be a decent shout is an acolyte of a 'cult of Rafa' so far as I can tell.

Aye right.
Alls im saying is he fell out with the people at the top in Valencia and left them fucked up for years. Came here and after early success got sacked and left us in a fucking mess after falling out with the people at the top. Then went to Inter (league and European champions) fell out with the owners and left them in a mess (they finished 6th i think this year)
I just dont get the whole thing. Hes a fucking chancer.

See, therein lies the problem with Rafa. He splits the fans too much. Christ, this season was mental. If he comes back I'm stocking up on Prozac

he only splits the fans on here. only klopp wouldn't imo. can't think of one manager who wouldn't apart form klopp.

He splits me as well.I dunno what I think.

And how is it, that we can put a man on the moon and yet not bum a frog without it splitting?
