So who do we want/expect/hope?

More than anything, it is the haunted look on Villa Boas' face that makes me disinclined to having him.

He *does* have tremendous contacts in Europe though, and I'd expect us to sign some sexy players if he came.

Loew was the brains behind Klinsman's great run with Germany - and has done a tremendous job since he took over the club himself. I'd be ok with this, and perhaps he'll be able to recruit some of the Bundesliga stars too ... If it's Loew or Boas, I'll take Loew.

Mat Scott was on Radio 5, caught some of what he said & he claimed that Boas definitely met with FSG & has since been scouting in Brazil!

Is Loew the same one I'm thinking of? The one that picks his nose and eats it?

I've been told put your money on Boas or Loew. Others have said Rafa has had two meetings in recent weeks with FSG which totally contradicts other info I've heard. In other words no-one seems to know. Im not sure even FSG do right now.
The money seems to be swinging on. Boas - Rafa is drifting, I don't think he stood a snowballs given his history of making life hard for club owners, if he was right or wrong no one wants someone like that working in a senior position for them, thars besides football issues.
Regards

Yeah, unfortunately Rafa's rep isn't going to help. The thing is, with the right structures around him I really believe Rafa could be the man. Isn't going to happen though.

Liverpool Vacancy

Former Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas, Borussia Dortmund’s Jurgen Klopp and Marseille coach Didier Deschamps are among the candidates to replace Kenny Dalglish after Liverpool fired him as manager yesterday, the Guardian reported.
Fenway Sports Group, Liverpool’s owner, is said to want a successor with title-winning experience who can lead the club long-term, the Guardian reported, adding that criteria may rule out Wigan’s Roberto Martinez. Former Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez is unlikely to be in the frame, the paper said.

Boas might be on a mission to destroy Chelsea and the other premiership teams after his horrendous time in management at the chavs. Could be a good thing.

Or else he might go mental.

In my opinion, if you are going to sack the manager, you should do it before you start looking for the replacement. It leaves a sour taste in the mouth when the replacement is produced within a couple of days, because that means the owners have been behaving in an underhand way and negotiating behind the back of the previous manager.

yeah i was thinking this, its a no win situation really, the owners are fucked either way

when boas was manager of porto, the football was sensational. everything I like and want for our team he put in action at porto so I was really disappointed he went to chelsea. he tried to implement those same tactics at chelsea and the old guard were utterly incapable of taking board his instructions. you'd think our defense (because that where it starts) would slot into his ideal with ease, skrtel, agger, johnson and enrique, all quick, strong and capable of holding a high line. the midfield is where we would struggle because how many of our midfielders are capable of playing a lightning quick passing game that requires at most two touches because moving the ball on.
AVB (sorry sheik) would be my number one choice, I couldn't give a fuck what happened at chelsea, obvious the old guard forced him out, our old guard hardly play.

I think it would be good to sign a manager with a track record of signing great players.
Im unsure who out of the candidates has the best record for that, but that would be my main interest rather than being a tactical knobhead. Sign GREAT players. Win mo games.

Sorry Oncy, I don't think the obvious tactically naive but signs good players option is available.

A stallion in a FUCKING GREY V-NECK!!

Something big comes this way.

And its not Charlie Adams food tray in the canteen..

He was. They waited till Kenny had flown home!

I must say, thats more money wasted. A first class ticket to Boston is probs 1500 quid. What could Kenny have said to NOT get sacked!? Nothing. The decision was already made.
So save the plane fare and fucking sack him after the Swansea defeat.
I hate waste man.

I see you were right about the owners not bringing Kenny all the way to the US to simply sack him.

Ha!

It sends out a powerful message, I didnt expect it but heyho..

Dont make me go through scms battered archives to retrieve your insider tips
