The major difference having Keita on here is that he's playing as an orthodox AM most of the time, he's just behind the front three to expose that space (in theory, but he hasn't been able to bar a couple of runs) it means we are outnumbered in midfield though, & when he does track back he's literally facing the wrong way to win it & is running at pace.
Klopp needs to switch the player or the system to address that midfield.

This match has to be putting an end to the suggestions Matip has enough quality to be more than fourth choice.
He's the rock we've always wanted at CB and Virgil's defending against Spurs was average.

All his YouTube videos had him dribbling with the ball. He hardly does this, playing 5 yards too forward
It has to be by design though, there's no way he's playing there against instructions without Klopp being apoplectic about it on the touchline. I like him deeper so he can run with the ball at feet, that's when he's looked good.

They are mostly coming from the right. Salah is doing next to nothing pressing wise, Fabinho is outnumbered and then they are taking advantage of Trent. The right side needs to be locked down. Why not swap Mane and Salah? So that at least Robertson who is a better defender than Trent can handle the load better.
I think it's on purpose. They play counter press, so like us, they're more dangerous after they've just won the ball, that means we need them to have it for spells to create space & our own chances.

Sometimes its subtle and other times more obvious but when Keita runs with the ball I never really think hes running with 100% confidence. You always feel he could go up a gear or two with regard to how he runs with the ball.
