The combination of Matip and TAA on the same side of the field fucking terrifies me... There's not one top defender between the two of them.

This is why I was advocating stopping the rot from the top. Swap Mane and Salah so Trent gets better protection from the players in front of him. Roberston is better than Trent at dealing with the extra work you have when you have Salah in front of you.

Against such a quick counter attacking side, I'd much preferred a Joe Gomez instead of Matip.

Fabinho has been sidestepped by players more times this half than he has been in his who Liverpool career I think. Midfield needs change of system or protection from other players

Yep. TAA, Firmino and Salah have given the ball away far too much. Need to retain more control and possession in the final third. However we seemed to be doing just that towards the end of the half.
