What i think was crazy was purchasing lallana and markovic. We did not need that many creatives. We could have used to spend the extra 25M on buying the player who would give you the guaranteed final third penetration and goals - would have loved cuadrado for that and not buying potential as we needed to build on last year and provide the qualaties that suarez had.

What is really sad about your comment is that you are not actually thinking about us as a club. We were a slip away from winning the title last season and rather than thinking about trying to win the title and build on last season we are looking at the other non challengers and thinking its safe to be shit as these other teams are shit. I am actually quite furious at rodgers purchases and no genuine attempt waa made to buy anyone like swuarez or spend 30m plus on a player of known quality. We needed another player that could get us out of shit and we did not do that.

We're playing a lot more games this year, one of the best players in the world no longer plays for us, Gerrard is another year older and teams have wised up to our initial surprise, 'out of the blocks' approach
This isn't a short term project, Rodgers is building a team so we win the league again and again (hopefully, obv). With FFP in place and a really young team are you really expecting us to replicate a surprise Liverpool with Suarez without those key factors?

I wouldn't say that I think it is pretty close.
Both have a shit defense, an OK midfield and a really good attack.
We have a good defence that's struggling to play together, you just have a shit defence.

I think Mystic's point is that, man for man, our defenders are good players, certainly better than ManU's. It's as a unit that they fall a long way short of where they should be.
Exactly as Jules said, Sakho, Skrtel, Lovren and Moreno are all very good players, and arguably better than anything in United's backline, unfortunately they haven't settled at all yet.
